Google Now for iOS now available in App Store

Google Now, a new system developed by Google to compete Apples personal assistant Siri is now available to download in iOS app store as a update to Google Search app. Although the service was initially available exclusively for the Android OS, now it is available for iOS users too. The folks at Google have today updated Google Search application for iOS service including Google Now. Using Google Now we can use voice commands to find information about weather, traffic, sports, and news, it is probably faster than Siri.

WWDC 2013 Dates Confirmed : June 10 to 14

Today Apple officially announced that WWDC 2013 will take place from June 10 to 14, 2013 in San Francisco, California. WWDC 2013 is where Apple is expected to introduce iOS 7, iPhone 5S and a new version of OS X and probably updates on the iLife software. Apple has also pre-announced ticket sales for the first time, opening sales on April 25 at 10AM PDT / 1PM ET. If history is a good indicator, then chances are very high that all the tickets to sell in a few tens of minutes after putting them on sale.

While some analysts believe that the Cupertino company will also introduce one or more new iPhone at WWDC, the lack of information on the availability of iOS SDK 7 indicates that the new terminals are perhaps not yet ready .

If Apple keeps traditions, the CEO of the company, Tim Cook, will host the keynote, which will probably take place on the morning of Monday, June 10th.

10,000 iPhone 5 Dominoes Fall : Video

iPhones have always been the center of attention and a lot of people thought to do creative things with them, and the video we posted below is a good example. Theoretically 10,000 iPhone 5 terminals are used in a domino setup. In fact, only one iPhone 5 is real, the rest is computer generated with full effect. The idea behind video is to demonstrate NFC (Near Field Communications) concept that enable content to be passed on from one iPhone screen to another.

This iPhone video is imagined as an advertisement for the iPhone 5 concept feature of NFC. If iPhone 5S comes with the NFC feature, this could be a pretty neat iPhone commercial.

iPad 5 Front Panel Leaked Picture Indicates Major Redesign

Here you go with the another set of leaked image of Apple iPad 5 parts, which is expected to release later this summer. Nowhereelse.fr, a french publication publishes two images of what could be the front panel of the new full-sized iPad 5.

As you can clearly see in the pictures that the side edges are narrower than current models which could facilitate a smaller device with the same screen size.

Various reports over internet suggest that iPad 5 will come with a new design and low weight for what it should look like the current mini iPad, display is same 9.7 inches, A7 processor (or A7X), perhaps with 2 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera.

Nobody knows whether these images are real or not, but we’ll learn more in the coming months. iPad 5 is expected to hit the market in September or October 2013.

iOS 7 will arrive with all new user interface

Good news for all those who are bored from the same user interface of iOS since the very original iPhone from Apple released in 2007. It seems that iOS 7 will arrive with a huge interface changes. Rumors told us a few weeks ago that iOS 7 will be launched with design changes thanks to the work of Jony Ive.

It seems that iOS 7 contains some important changes of the UI, and team Johny Ive is running behind of schedule. According to some reports Apple would have delayed the OS X 10.9 development and use those engineers to finish iOS 7 well before WWDC.

John Gruber, one of the most important voices Unofficial Apple into the world comes to shed some light on this point. According to Gruber, the development of iOS 7 is delayed because Apple is working on a completely revamped user interface :

What I heard: iOS 7 is being delayed, and engineers have been removed from OS X 10.9 to work on it. (Tell me you’ve heard this one before)

As Jony Ive and iOS: As stated in the street, iOS engineers have some kind of filter polarized in their iPhone screens, so that greatly reduces viewing angles, making it difficult for observers to see the system still quite significant changes in the user interface.

Zeppelin : easiest way to change iOS operator logo

How to SSH in to iPhone 5 using WinSCP & CyberDuck

SSH stands for Secure Shell. It allows you to establish a remote connection between two or more hosts. Here we’ll teach you how to access iPhone 5’s root file system. We may, thus, transfer files and content at will, in any folder. once you’ve got SSH installed on your iPhone 5 and active, you can access your iPhone from a shell on your Mac or Windows machine with third party programs i.e. WinSCP for windows and CyberDuck for Mac.

Following are the instructions to SSH in to your iPhone 5 using WinSCP (Windows) or CyberDuck (Mac OS).

Requirements :

A WiFi network. Your iPad and computer must be connected to the same wireless network.
OpenSSH installed on the device, can be found through Cydia
A third party program to connect your device : For Windows use WinSCP, Mac users can go for Cyberduck.

Install OpenSSH on your iPhone

Open the Cydia
Go to search tab and search for OpenSSH.

Tap the Install button at the top right corner and then Tap the Confirm button to Install the OpenSSH. Once done, reboot your iPhone.

Instructions for Windows Users

Step 1 : Download and install WinSCP.

Download WinSCP for Windows

Step 2 : Note of your iPhone IP address from Settings > WiFi and tap on the blue arrow to the right of the name of your home network. In the next screen you can find the IP Address of your network.

Now launch WinSCP and enter the following details:

Hostname: Your iPhone IP address.
Username: root
Password: alpine
Protocol: SCP

and Hit the Login button. WinSCP will start connecting to your iPhone. If a Warning dialogue box appears, click Yes.

That’s it windows users, you’ve successfully SSH into your iPhone.

Instructions for Mac Users

Step 1 : Download and install CyberDuck

Now Mac users download and install CyberDuck SSH client.

Download CyberDuck for Mac

Now launch CyberDuck, click on the Open Connection button at top-left corner and then enter the following details:

Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)
Server: Hostname: Your iPhone IP address.
Username: root
Password: alpine

Now Hit the Connect Button. If you get Host Key Mismatch error, simply hit the Allow button.

That’s it. You’ve successfully SSH into your iPhone and can browser your iPhone contents.

Posixninja found exploits for iOS 7 jailbreak

Evasi0n was the first and the only untethered jailbreak for iOS 6, but for iOS 7 we might have a solution to jailbreak sooner than we thought. iOS hacker p0sixninja announced that he discovered several new exploits in recent months and could grow next jailbreak solution. P0sixninja is one of the former members of Chronic Dev Team, has the knowledge to develop a solution to jailbreak and his claims cannot be taken lightly.

P0sixninja also revealed that he will not be using his exploits for iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak; rather, he will be holding them back for iOS 7 or iOS 7.1. Commenting to iDesignTimes, p0sixninja says that he will definitely not release for iOS 6.x.
“I will at least wait for 7.0, if not even 7.1 I’ve been working on it [a while]. Some of them [vulnerabilities] were ideas I had years ago, but everyone said I was crazy, and I’ve just started looking into them more and realizing I was right…”

Hacker not yet provided details about his exploits and probably never will, but as soon as iOS 7 Beta 1 will be released we may see some evidence from his side.
