iPad 3G Can Send Text Messages

With the launch of iPad 3G, iPhone DEV team is busy in exploring new opportunities with iPad 3G . Dev-Team Member “MuscleNerd ‘ reports, it is possible to send off short messages with the UMTS version of the iPad. Needless to mention the device does not comes with native SMS application, with a little hackery with terminal installed and raw AT commands allows, the simple sending of text messages. Snow Leopard 10.6.2 : Atom Support Breaks

Apple today released Mac OS X 10.6.2 update to address various security, stability and compatibility issues. Netbook Hackint0sh users are advised to stay away from this update, it’s confirmed Snow Leopard 10.6.2 update breaks the Atom support in hackintosh. Wait for the modded kernel and detailed guide. The vanilla hackintoshers are all free from any workaround for updating there rig, though it’s highly suggested to backup your /Extra (just in case), you may need to install Audio/Video/Lan drivers after the reboot.

Apple is Going Hard on iPhone Jailbreaking

It seems Apple is going hard and hard on Jailbreak community. Last month Apple updated iBoot for new iPhone new version to fix a security vulnerability that prevents the exploit 24kpwn More details here and here. Since the 24kpwn is fixed the only way to jailbreak new purchased iPhone is a Tethered jailbreak, but it is quite inconvenient as you have to re-run the jailbreak every time you restart the phone.
