Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows user to customize the way webpages look and behaves. Greasemonkey can be used for adding new functions to Web pages, Applying Orkut Themes, Fixing Rendering Bugs, Combining Data from Multiple Webpages, and numerous other purposes. When the user loads a matching page, Greasemonkey invokes the relevant scripts, which can then add to the page, delete parts of it, or move parts around. Greasemonkey scripts are named somename.user.js, and Greasemonkey automatically detects and offers to install any such script, when a URL ending in that suffix is loaded.

• First of all, you need to have Firefox installed. If you haven’t installed yet, then install it from here.

• Once done, install the Greasemonkey Firefox addon from here and restart the browser.

• Just click the theme download link one and you will be prompted to install it. Click install and it will be installed in a jiffy!

• If you want to change a theme then you will first install the new theme. Then you have to right-click on the little “monkey” face in the status bar below.

• Then you have to right-click on the little “monkey” face in the status bar below. From there, you will see a list of your installed scripts which will have the different orkut themes. Just uncheck any theme you do not want to use and check any Orkut theme that you do want to use.

Last time i posted on How to Access Orkut in a Blocked Network if you missed that one check here. Orkut is the fourth most visited website in INDIA and eleventh most visited website in the World according to Alexa. I m not an Orkut addicted, but one of my Orkut addicted friend asked me how to download pictures from Orkut Album. After messing 2 hours with Orkut finally i found the way to download pictures from your or friends Orkut Album. It’s a very simple trick the only thing you required is Google Chrome web browser.If you are  not using Google Chrome browser you can download the browser from here or here. Ok ready follow the simple steps given below.

1. login to your Orkut Account >> Orkut Album Picture >>

2. When the picture is available in browser with full resolution. Right click outside the Image Frame and select  “ View Frame Source “ as shown in figure below.

3. A new window with a lots of code will opened in next tab now you have to find the source code of image. Confused, let me make it easy for you press CTRL + F .  Small Search window will be open at top right hand corner. Check the image number 3.

4. In search window type “  <img id  “ without quotes. You will find a highlighted code something like this “  src=”http://images.orkut.com/orkut/albums2 “ just click on the code and the image will be opened in a new window now you can save the picture by right click then save.
