Whether you believe it or not, this week we got two solutions to unlock all iPhone, no matter which baseband and iOS is on terminal. First tweak was developed using SAM (check here) and now second one is Gevey Ultra. Both Gevey and SAM supports all iPhone with every baseband, but Gevey has an advantage of being jailbreak free, so you can unlock iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1 which is not possible with SAM because it requires jailbreak.  GEVEY Ultra 5.1 and is available in store and you can buy it for $39.99 to $59.99 by clicking here.

Note : Gevey Ultra require jailbreak for iPhone 4 but in case of iPhone 4S you can unlock with or without jailbreak.

The new GEVEY Ultra S is now a single turbo SIM that “learns” your network, so there is no need to select a specific GEVEY Ultra S specific to your cellular service provider. SAM, the Cydia application that allows us to unlock any iPhone model with any version of iOS has been upgraded. Latest release made the whole unlocking procedure much easier. Now you just have to insert the SIM that you want to use, which does not correspond to the original operator of your iPhone, select the original operator of your iPhone in SAM, access to the “Utils” and click “Try Activation.” that’s it, your iPhone will operate with the unofficial SIM you have inserted.

If you get it you can re-enter the original SIM and activate the iPhone, access SAM> More> Spoof, and then repeat the steps above. If you can not work this way test the old tutorial >> Unlock iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and 4S using SAM.

Pod2G, one of the most active members of jailbreak community has announced current situation of iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. It seems that he and his team have all the exploits needed to develop new solutions to jailbreak. Now teams trying to bypass the ASLR ( Address Space Layout Randomization ), a tool consisting of placing certain key parts of the system at random position and was introduced with iOS 4.3 as extra security tool to prevent the jailbreak.

According to the pod2g twitter account iOS 5.1 jailbreak may take weeks before its completion. Specifically, pod2g says he has no idea when it will be released. "We have all the necessary exploits required for the jailbreak. I work to bypass ASLR on startup. "chpwn, another iPhone dev team member stresses, however, that even if we have all the pieces to jailbreak it may take weeks and month for a public release.

The beta version of iOS 5.1 has been circulating among developers, but we had not yet heard about the Golden Master, until today. In the beta release there was no indication that the IOS 5.1 would be released in  March. Today ChronicWire finally said that the beta of iPhone OS 5.1 has reached Golden Master status, and today we may see the announcement of immediate availability of iOS 5.1 Golden Master.

The iPhone Dev Team has posted a word of wisdom to potential jailbreakers to stay away for the time being.

• Soon after 5.1 appears on Apple’s public servers (i.e. iTunes starts to offer it), Apple will stop signing 5.0.1 SHSH blobs.
• If you have an iPhone4S, the basic rule above is really the only rule:  you cannot restore back to 5.0.1 once the 5.0.1 signing window is closed, no matter what (even if you saved your SHSH blobs).
• If you have an iPad2 with saved 4.x hashes, you can in fact downgrade to that 4.x but you won’t be able to get to 5.0.1 once the 5.0.1 signing window is closed (even if you saved your 5.0.1 SHSH blobs).
• If you have a device earlier than the iPad2, you can downgrade to whatever version you want, as long as you have saved SHSH blobs for that version.  You’ll need the assistance of geohot’s limera1n exploit with tools like redsn0w to get into “pwned DFU mode” and bypass the downgrade restriction.

iPhone Dev Team has released a new version of redsn0w, version 0.9.10 beta 5 to fix critical iBooks issue with jailbroken devices. Redsn0w beta 5 is now available and can be applied through a patch or fix. A member of the Dev Team said that in 10% of cases iBooks does not display content protected by copyright but the new version of redsn0w solve this problem. Unfortunately an update to Corona was not released so you have to use redsn0w patch to implement.

Update # 5: redsn0w version incorporates b5 Yet Another fix for iBooks, this time involving DRM. @ Planetbeing wrote a utility Called "crazeles" that overcomes iBooks jailbreak detection by about 10% That Would Cause of images to show incorrectly. This fix is similar to the "hunnypot" That fixed 4.x @ COMEX wrote for the jailbreak. As usual, you CAN choose to install the fixed either by re-running redsn0w over your Existing jailbreak (de-select Cydia if you do that), or by Installing the corona package from Cydia (it’s the Same set of files no matter Which Way you choose).

You can use redsn0w iOS any iDevice compatible with 5.0.1, except iPad iPhone 2 and 4S. To implement the patch just run and uncheck all the boxes (including the Install Cydia).

Finally the wait is almost over, Pod2g just announced to release a jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 running on iOS 5.0.1 Indeed, we have even an approximate time! In a few hours, we will be able to run the untethered jailbreak on A5 devices.

A tool called "Absinthe" and developed by the Chronic Dev-install the untethered to any device. The Dev Team will release a command-line tool to help in diagnosing any bugs, glitches or problems and provide for the resolution of the same.

If you are running on ​​iOS 5.0.1 with tethered jailbreak then you can simply install Corona, a patch through Cydia to convert your tethered jailbreak to untethered jailbreak. To install Corona simply launch Cydia, Search for Corona. Install the Corona, Reboot your iDevice and that’s it.

Requirements :

• iOS 5.0.1 activated on your iDevice (iPhone unlockers should check pwnage tool)

Instructions :

• Download redsn0w 0.9.10 Beta 1 from here:  Windows ,  Mac OS X  and install latest version of iTunes.
• Connected your iDevice to PC / Mac and launch redsn0w.     Windows 7 user note >>> right-click the executable, select Properties and open new menu, go to Compatibility and check Run this program in compatibility mode for then select Windows XP , click Apply and then OK. Now launch redsn0w.
• Now select “Extras” then “Select IPSW” and browse for the iOS 5.0.1 IPSW file.
• Click on “Jailbreak” then “Install Cydia”.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to get your device into DFU mode.
• Once done, your device will be rebooted and you’ll get a full untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1.

Apple introduced HDR imaging with iOS 4.x, a function which significantly improve the quality of photos taken with an iPhone. Though everyone isn’t agree that HDR function is really useful, but sometime I found HDR very useful in my personal case. Apple has limited this function on some terminals and iPod Touch 4G is not one of them because it has a small room that you can not use it to make great pictures.

This guide will explain how to enable HDR works on your iPod touch 4G. The tutorial works only on iOS 5 and iPod Touch 4G.

1. Navigate to following path in your iPod file system

System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MediaToolbox.framework/N81 

and look for

 AVCaptureSession.plist

You need to edit this file so i advice to copy the file to your computer and duplicate it.

2. Now using a Plist file editor and find the line: "AVCaptureSessionPresetPhoto" and below "FullResolutionPreview" paste the following code after the tag "True"

3. Save the file, transfer it back to the iPod Touch in the location from which you downloaded and then navigate to the following

System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app / Where to look N81.plist file.

Open the file with an editor. Plist and at the end or add the code:

   1: HDR-image-capture <key> </ key> <true/>

4. Save and copy the file back to the iPod Touch (if you have transferred to the PC first) and reset the iPod. After the terminal reboots you should have in Settings> Photos activate the HDR.

Michael Capozzi found an interesting bug in iOS 5, allow anyone to unlock iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Unlock method presented last night seems to work for some iPhone owners who bought with AT & T in the U.S. Unlock method is based on an iOS 5 bug and the video below shows the entire procedure.

Folks from Gizmodo confirms that some owners of iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S purchased from AT & T GSM version were able to unlock their phones using this method. Following are the instructions for iOS 5.

Instructions to Unlock iPhone :

1. Insert the original carrier AT & T SIM card
2. Dial 611 for AT & T customer service hotline and drop the call
3. Turn on Airplane Mode
4. Take out the SIM card AT & T
5. Insert T-Mobile SIM card
6. Make sure WiFi is off (also on tap "Forget this Network" to make sure it Does not connect automatically side)
7. Switch off Airplane Mode and iPhone Will search for network. This is the Apple splash screen FOLLOWED BY appearing.
8. Activation Required will be displayed on the screen
9. Will EDGE network automatically activated – notice the ‘E’ on the top left corner of the screen
10. Wait for about 20-30 seconds and turn off the phone
11. Turn on the iPhone and the Same Activation Required screen will be displayed
12. When you see one signal bar, tap on Doors Cellular Connection
13. Eject the SIM card
14. Activation Required screen displayed will be the second time
15. Insert SIM card
16. Unlocked!
