MuscleNerd, iPhone Dev Team member, has managed to extract all data from the bootrom of iPhone 4S baseband. Musclenerd posted a proof image, with raw data of iPhone 4S baseband on his twitter handle. Foxconn factory in Brazil seems to already working in the production of low cost iPhone 4S. Unlock iOS 4.3.1 with Ultrasn0w

Musclenerd just released ultrasn0w, latest version of ultrasn0w is compatible with iOS 4.3.1 Recall that iPhone Dev Team already released untethered solution for iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak last Sunday, but  ultrasn0w wasn’t  not compatible with latest version of iOS.
This new version of ultrasn0w will unlock baseband 4.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00 for iPhon3 3GS and baseband 01.59.00 for iPhone 4.

iPhone 3GS Baseband 5.14.02, 5.15.04, 5.16.00 Unlock | Latest Update

iPhone Dev team member, Musclenerd just hinted that they are working on iPhone baseband downgrade hack. Musclenerd replied to one of his follower regarding their priorities toward peoples stuck on baseband  5.14.02, 5.15.04 and 5.16.00 Apparently iPhone dev team found a solution, that will allow users to downgrade their iPhone’s baseband back to 05.12.01, 05.13.04 from baseband 06.15.00

iPhone 4 64 GB Spotted in the Wild

MICGadget, published some images of iPhone 4 64 GB, internal test units. Some of the test units are available for sale in the Hong Kong black market, that clearly seem to prototypes of a 64 GB iPhone 4. You can see in the attached image that displays the characteristics of the terminal, although many consider it a gross manipulation.

Musclenerd just tweeted about current status of iPhone 4 unlock, MN says “ Current i4 unlock goal includes till 04.10.01 (4.3b3). Very weird situation…vulnerable commands are there, trying to invoke them! “ Simply that means iOS 4.3B3 can be unlocked by their recent findings.

Ultrasn0w Unlock Coming After iOS 4.3 or iOS 4.2.5

MuscleNerd released  an official statement regarding iPhone unlock. iPhone Dev team postponed the release of ultrasn0w unlock until Apple releases iOS 4.3 or iOS 4.2.5  Sherif Hashim found an exploitable baseband crash that could bring an unlock for basebands 05.14.02 and 02.10.04 back in November. Very little has been heard since then.

iOS 4.2.1 Unlock Coming this Sunday

MuscleNerd just tweeted to all his followers that Ultrasn0w unlock is on it’s way and you’ll get rid of iOS 4.2. baseband 5.14.02 and iOS 4.2.1 baseband 5.15.04 after this Sunday. Musclenerd tweeted “ Good progress today…everything is on track for updated ultrasn0w by Sunday/Funday at the latest (longer for iPhone4!) “

iOS 4.2.1 Unlock for iPhone 3G, 3GS Coming this Week

Apple released iOS 4.2.1 and iPhone Dev team released Redsn0w 0.9.4b4 to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 Besides a successful jailbreak you can not unlock at this time. As you know, an exploit in the baseband (modem firmware) is required to develop iPhone unlock. Sheriff Hashim already announced that he found such an exploit.
