Hackers Gained Full Root Code Execution of iPad, Jailbreak is Around Corner!

Good news for those who are waiting to jailbreak their iPad, MuscleNerd just confirmed that, they successfully ported  “Spirit” (iPhone/iPod jailbreak by comex) to iPad. MuscleNerd also posted screenshot of his Mac terminal window for the proof that they accessed the full root code execution has been obtained on the iPad.

About the release we are still doubtful for an imminent release, Dev Tea may wait for iPad 3G or OS 3.2 for iPhone so majority of iPhone/iPod/iPad users can enjoy jailbreaking their respective iDevices. MuscleNerd also posted a video, …

Early iPad Teardown Photos, Thanks to FCC

The FCC published further documents of iPad, uncovering secret parts – including detailed interior shots of both the WLAN as the UMTS version of the iPad, as well as important product and warranty conditions. This opens up a good overview of the iPad-inside (which is dominated by the battery) and also some less, or even previously unknown details come to light. First of all battery, as stated by Apple is a lithium-polymer battery (3.75 V 24.8 Watt hours).

iPad 3.2 firmware available for download

Looks like Apple has gone ahead and put the iPad firmware on their website, readily available for download to the public, before the shipping of the iPad starts.

iPad App Store : Apple Asked Devs to Submit iPad Apps

According to an announcement to all registered Apple iPhone OS developers by e-mail, can now be submitted iPad Apps for a pre-review – the apps need to have been created with the recently released iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 5th To (possibly) part of the opening of the “iPad App Store” for the iPad-US-sales start on 3 April to become the iPad Apps until no later than 27 March uploading.

The first iPad Commercial Video Released at Oscar

Steve Jobs released the commercial video for the iPad, as part of the Academy Awards this video broadcast  is the first commercial from Apple for the iPad, which is also seen on apple.com to.  The advertisement was shown at the Oscar night and the song is “There Goes My Love” from the album Man Up The Blue Van.

iPad Sale Starts on Friday March 26th?

According to information from examiner, Apple is all set to train store employees with real iPad units on March 10 followed by TV commercials to air starting March 15 (focusing on iBooks). The exact start of sales had not yet been finalized, but Friday the 26th March would be a potential candidate matching date – even the iPhone each came on a Friday in the trade. Apple iPad A4 in the SoC relies on a Cortex-A8

Ars Technia reports Apple iPad A4 chip is based on ARM Cortex-A8 architecture, though early rumors was Apple adopted the latest Cortex A9 multi-core design. For exact specifications, Apple has not commented. According to multiple sources of Ars Technia Apple uses A4 (besides the PowerVX SGX GPU) back to a single-core Cortex-A8, as currently the case (with a lower clock speed) in the iPhone 3GS, and the third-generation iPod touch is used.

Hulu On Its Way To The iPad

What is the main reason, that iPad fans are most disappointed about due to the lack of flash? Well its certainly not Youtube, as Youtube has been available for the iPhone and will be available for the iPad, and still users are complaining. Can it be Hulu?
