Following the launch of The New iPad, we do not know how Apple might call its next smartphone. It may be a simple "new iPhone" or perhaps continue the numbering and see an iPhone 5. Apple has announced that it has reached a staggering 25 billion downloads from the App Store. To celebrate, Apple dodged a check for $ 10,000 to spend on iTunes Store to the person to succeed in meeting the magic number of downloads. Applidium engineers reverse engineered Siri’s communication protocol. Since Siri was introduced, hackers around the world have been looking for a way to break Apple’s security and port it to other devices. What does this mean? Charlie Miller aka 0xcharlie, well-known security researcher has revealed that he found a new vulnerability in iOS software that allows an application to run malicious code. It should be noted that Apple controls all applications submitted to the App Store and does not allow the execution of unauthorized code.

The Miller managed to "broke" this limitation and even created and an application to demonstrate the findings. Apple has approved the application to the App Store and Miller exploited the security hole and managed to steal the photos from one device.

Last week Apple launched the second beta version of iOS 5.0.1 to developers with a soft warning to developers, that relates to the distribution iDevice operating system. Apple sent emails to developers that the distribution of any kind of material about iOS 5 beta versions may result in termination of your account by the developer and would be vulnerable to civil and criminal processes.

Apple today announced (Official Link) that over 1 million iPhone 4S terminals were pre-ordered on the first day of sales. The device went on sale on Friday and AT&T said it had sold no less than 200,000 terminals in just 12 hours of availability, but behold, after just one day Apple has registered 1 million pre-orders for the new device. The figure is almost double that recorded for iPhone 4, which was pre-ordered 600,000 copies on day one. iPhone 4S will certainly become the best selling Apple’s iPhone.

Lacking only the official announcement, and it has finally arrived. Apple sent press invitations for conference presentation of iOS 5, iPhone 5 and iCloud 5 on October 4th, keynote to be held in exactly one week in Cupertino, in the Town Hall auditorium, at 10:00 AM local time.
