Fix iPhone, iPad Stuck on Apple Logo after Evasi0n Jailbreak

We have received many comments form our readers complaining about the iPhone / iPad / iPod stuck on Apple logo while booting. Every time you turn it on it goes back to the apple logo. Root cause behind this problem is, installing an unsupported / out-dated tweak from Cydia or number of other reasons.

Fix Stuck on Apple boot Logo

Here we have two tricks to solve your problem. First one may or may not work for you but second one will definitely work for you. However we suggest you to attempt method one at least 5-10 times.

Method One (Doesn’t require firmware restore)

Don’t Panic!!! If you are patient, you will have your phone working in about 15 mins. You needn’t to do a restore, I mean “just how it was before it went to the apple logo”. I have been through this at least 10 times. With more than one iPhone, and with many different firmwares.

  • Hard reset. (hold down home & power button till phone turns off)
  • Open up iTunes on your pc/laptop.
  • Hook your phone up to your computer with USB cable.
  • Wait to see if iTunes recognizes your phone. (iTunes will sound if so, and then you will not need anything else, it’s booting up)
  • If it doesn’t recognize it, unplug your phone and hard reset again.
  • Try hooking up your phone to wall charger.
  • Repeat steps 1-6 until it boots up.

Method Two (Require firmware restore)

In any case if method one is not working for you, try this method and you’ll break the Apple logo loop mode for sure. This method requires a DFU + iTunes restore.

  • Connect your iPhone to your computer.
  • Turn iPhone off.
  • Hold power and home together for 10 seconds (exactly).
  • Release power but keep holding home until the computers beeps (observed on a PC) as a USB device is recognized.
  • A few seconds later iTunes should detect your iPhone.
  • If the Restore Logo is present on the screen, you are in Recovery Mode, not DFU.
  • Now restore your iPhone to iOS 6.1 and try to jailbreak your phone once again.

I did everything according to option one and the pass “Wait to see if iTunes recognizes your phone. (iTunes will sound if so, and then you will not need anything else, it’s booting up)” works, the sound happens and my iPad appears on iTunes but the screen is still stuck in apples logo and can’t sync with iTunes (the button is unclickable). I installed a Cydia tweak for notifications and can’t uninstall it… Do you have another method without restore (loosing my data and jailbreak data)? email me please: mmbento@sapo.pt

There is an evasi0n patch now available on Cydia regarding the stuck apple logo. It happened to me when I installed Winterboard, I got the apple logo problem. Uninstalled it and found in the changes section of Cydia there is a new update from evasi0n

Neil, please enlighten us as to what program that might be?

had the same here and ended up redoing everything twice. I figured that it das something to do with Cydia, because that was the last app used…

This occurs due to recent shut down of an program and if you open Cydia, it will attemp to d/l files for that program. You must open Cydia and delete that program which over time will cause the reboot and each time it reboots creates more files eventually you will need to restore and if you haven’t back it up you are going to loose everything but you can restore to your most recent back up….. Because that’s what happen to me, it started with screen locked up and I had to hard boot and be ok for a while then it’ll do some other crazy thing soon it goes into a “boot loop” twice it did reboot and work for a week or so. Then yesterday I wasn’t so lucky “boot loop” again every once in a while would indicate I need to restore, so I end up restore to 6.1 since Evasi0n is release but I will wait a few weeks before I jump on
