Apple replacing Samsung with TSMC to Manufacture A6X chips
A publication of Taiwan (Commercial Times) claiming that Apple would move production of A6X chips from Samsung to TSMC. It is rumored that TSMC will produce quad-core processors for Apple and it seems that everything starts with a test production of iPad 4 tablet chips, which contains graphics processors and quad-core processor.
In the first quarter of this year, TSMC is expected to produce these chips for Apple, but it is based on a test period in which to verify the ability of plants to keep pace with the demands of the American company. Basically Apple wants to see if TSMC can replace Samsung in terms of chip production, knowing that Apple needs quickly many components, and Samsung has been the only manufacturer able to satisfy them.
