iOS 6 Beta 1 Available to Developers Today
Apple released iOS 6 Beta 1 for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPod Touch 3rd Generation and iPod Touch 4th Generation.
Scott Forstall took the stage to show off the new version of the operating system that drives the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and it will go down in history as iOS 6. A lengthy demo for iOS 6 unveiled new Siri features, the Passbook card management app, and the all new in-house Maps app. Apple also announced that it would make iOS 6 beta 1 available to developers starting today.
The new version of iOS introduces about 200 new innovations, including in particular Siri, integration with Facebook, the new maps with 3D view and a new app Passbook. Facebook will be integrated in the same way as Twitter, even if it brings some new features, however, as the synchronization of your contacts (profile picture and dates of birth) and greater integration with the App Store (you can do “like” a ‘app, happy, right?)
