iPhone 4 vs Samsung Nexus S : The Clash of Titans

Google launched Nexus S, successor of Nexus OneNexus S and is manufactured by Samsung, will be marketed by T-Mobile in the U.S., as the operating system has the latest version of Android and presumably that will gradually appear in other countries. The never ending battle between the iOS and Android OS is going on from the date Android OS was actually introduced to the world. The introduction of Nexus S has extended the war even more further. So we compared these two phones head to head in order to find which one is the best,

The OS:

Samsung Nexus S runs on Google’s latest  mobile operating system, Android Gingerbread (2.3) Apple iPhone runs on iOS 4.2. The number of applications we can download from  apple’s App store is considerable greater than Android, on the other hand customization offered on android OS is much greater than that in stock iOS.

iPhone 4 is available in 16GB and 32GB capacities while Google Nexus S has 16GB of iNAND internal storage.

iPhone 4 features a 1GHz Apple A4 processor and the Google Nexus S boasting a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, both phones are running on 512 MB of RAM. In this sector both the phones have similar specs.

iPhone 4 and the  Google Nexus S  both have 5MP auto focus camera with flash.

Both the handsets are quad-band phones with 3G/HSDPA. You’ll also get Wi-Fi (up to 802.11n) and Bluetooth 2.1, Three-axis gyroscope.
Display :
Nexus S has chosen a low-power Super AMOLED display, low-glare in extreme brightness with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. In this field iPhone 4 is clear winner with it’s retina display and high pixel density provides a better view. It is interesting that Samsung and Google have included the screen with a slightly curved contour of the same supposedly easier to use in front of our eyes.

The nexus S has a dimension of 63mm x 123.9mm and weights about 129g, while the iPhone is about 115 x 59mm and weight 140g . The Nexus S is about 20g lighter than the iphone4.

Battery life :

The Google Nexus S has a  talk time up to 6.7hours on 3g and 14 hours on 2g  and standby up to 17 days. The iPhone has a talk time up to 7 hours on 3g and 14 hours on 2g and standby up to 300 hours.

Which one to Buy?:

With all tech specs similar to each other its kinda very difficult to choose one. iPhone 4 edges out the Nexus S due to Retina display and faster readable memory. It still depends on your personal choice to choose the right one. So  which one you like the most ?

I think I will stay with my iPhone 4.
One of the best things I love about the iPhone is the mobile Safari – It is faster then Android.
Just try to zoom and you will see. There is a new video on youtube showing the differences.
