Activate iPhone 3G, 3GS With Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM)

@sbingner (author of TetherMe) has released “SAM” and “SAMPrefs” tweaks to bypass iPhone activation system. According to iPhone Dev team , “Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM)” tricks your iPhone and iTunes into creating legitimate activation tickets even though you’re unlocked with ultrasn0w. This means you get the full benefit of push applications. SAM also rectify the requirement of Ultrasn0w daemon that continue to run in the background, thus resulting in improved performance, stability and battery life.

iPhone Dev Team released an update to version 0.9.6b6 redsn0w, to make it easier to switch to the SAM method. The jailbreak tool now includes the option Deactivate the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.

Instructions :

1. Connect your phone to WiFi, open Cydia and add the following repository:

http://repo.bingner.com

2. Install “SAM” and “SAMPrefs” from the bingner repo.

3. Launch Redsn0w 09.6b6 you download for your operating system.

4. Browse the original Apple firmware, from the Desktop of your computer. Immediately after the check, click Next and a new screen will appear.

5. Select the new item “Deactivate” and continue.(make sure no other options are checked).

6. After the process, enter in the settings of your iPhone, select SAM and click on “De-Activate iPhone”.

7. At this point you are ready to activate the iPhone through iTunes, and you’re done!

I did it twice, but stuck while upload ramdisk. My phone3g jailbreaken by redsnow 9.6b6 n alredy install sam and pre. So do u hav any solution

Hi, please help me. Battery keeps draining after SAM. I jailbreak mi 3G Iphone with redsn0w b6 iOS 4.2.1. I follow all the instructions published in ultrasnow.ca and here. All seems to be ok. “Celullar Activated” is working ok de unlock but battery keeps draining. The full charge drained in 2 hours in stadby.

Please Help me!
