As promised by Posixninja, Chronic Dev team just released Greenpois0n jailbreak iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G and 4G and iPad. The exploit used in the Geenpois0n jailbreak is not suitable for older iPhone and iPod touch like the iPhone 3G and second generation iPod touch.Jailbreak tool is based on the same exploit as limera1n and untethered through a user-land exploit from comex.

The tool is compatible with the following devices:

iPhone 4
iPhone 3G S
iPod Touch (4th Generation)
iPod Touch (3rd Generation)

We just got some hints on a potential unlock for iPhone 3G / 3GS / 4 running on iOS 4.1 The wonder kid, has been pretty calm on any developments since we came to know about limera1n. His blog is private and twitter account is deleted since this July.
