P0sixninja just confirmed Greenpois0n jailbreak successfully ported in to Apple TV 2G. Jailbreaking Apple TV opens the possibility of running unapproved apps and programs on the new Apple TV. The exploit used in Greenpois0n cannot be patched with software or firmware update and requires new bootrom to get patched. So chances are higher that Apple will update hardware in upcoming lot of Apple TV.
