Jailbreak iOS 4.0 / 4.0.1 iPod Touch 2G, 3G MC via Jailbreakme

Jailbreakme, an universal iPad / iPhone / iPod jailbreak discovered by comex and developed by iPhone dev team is available in the wild. Needless to say that jailbreakme uses an exploit easily solved by Apple with a firmware release very soon, so it’s better to save your SHSH so you can stay on OS 4.0.1 as long as you want. Following are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone using the Jailbreak right on your iPod touch 2G, iPod touch 3G including MC model.

Things to know about spirit jailbreak:

Jailbreakme is a browser based jailbreak for iPod touch, iPod touch 2G, iPod touch 3G with iOS 4.0 and 4.0.1

1. Browse to www.jailbreakme.com through our device and wait for the complete page load.

2. Once your page loads swipe your finger across “Slide to jailbreak”, very similar to “Slide to unlock” what we perform daily by LockScreen to access the springboard of our device.

3. Now wait and watch while your device will begin to download the data necessary to execute the jailbreak procedure.

4. Once the download is complete, the words come out “Jailbreaking Sit Tight. ”

5. Wait a few seconds while installation finishes and a new popup will warn that Cydia icon is added on the springboard.

that’s it now enjoy your jailbroken iPod Touch.

yeah i get the same problem it says downloading then after that it goes to sit tight and it just exits out by it self without finishing it up. then i reopen safari and get the message “it looks like installer crashed last time you treid to jailbreak it might work if you try again” and ive tried again yet no success please help!

1) Put your device into Airplane mode.
2) Go to -> Setting -> safari -> Cookies -> Accept.
3) Double Tap home button. To go to multi tasking
4) Press and hold an icon to wiggle the task switcher icons and then quit Safari using the -.
5) Clear all Cache and cookies.
6) Open safari and go to jailbreakme.com and try again.

BTW, now Im totally sucked in the iPad, with it and iPad video converter from ifunia, Im reading and watching videos, movies everytime, everywhere when wanna!
I believe with this jailbreaking, iPad can bring much more for me! awesome!

Ok my problem is… every time I go to safari and type in either jailbreakme.com or jailbreakme.modmui.com and slide the switch it just goes straight back to the dashboard(where the apps are). Then when I go back into safari and try it again it says “oops… it looks the installer crashed last time you tried to jailbreak .it might work if you try again”
and this happens again and again

I have tried EVERYTHING;
Reboting
Restoring
Clearing caches
Airplaine mode
deleting cookies
blocking popups

I have searched the net for a sollution I cannot find and what makes matter worse is everybody else seems to get it sone once they do a troubleshoot that someone says…except me that is

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Itunes 9.2.1.5
