if i upgrade my iPhone 3G by pressing the ‘Update’ button on my itunes,will it be locked ? will it still be jailbreak-ed ????? REPLY ASAP DUDES

i have a 3gs on 3.1.3 and everytime i try to upgrade to ios 4.0 it says error 3014…. i cant figure out for the life of me why i cant upgrade.?
it has never been unlocked or jailbroken. also it gives an error when backing up too. it wont let it backup sometimes and sometimes it gets to where it says verifying upgrade with apple and throws that 3024 at me. its like a i cant do anything cool with it…any suggestions ? thanks.

@ nikesh, if it is factory unlocked the update wont change it.

I have an iphone 3g, when i’m upgrading to ios4 it is saying únknown error (3002) occured. Any 1 has any clue on that

@ nikesh no your phone will not be locked but i would be a having a clean un jailbreaked os 4 installed ,, upgrade it without any hitch its a novelty…

I had downloaded it via iTunes (not these links, since I just found your page) to update later. Now at home, offline (other than via the phone itself, with which I’m posting this) & trying to update, it’s asking me where it put the files. If it doesn’t know, I sure as frak don’t. Ant clues where iTunes stashed it?

Mine is Factory unlocked. If I upgraded it to ios 4, will it lock the phone?
