Blacksn0w Unlock Ported to iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4

5 June 2010 by Vinay 5 Comments

msft.guy ported blacksn0w unlock to OS 4 beta 4. This blacksn0w port is based on the modified binaries by msft.guy and original blacksn0w unlock by Geohot. The hack, however, is still very buggy and needs further improvements. Our friend veencee tested and posted a video of the hack in action. At the end of the video you can find a link, where you can download the patch file.

GM build of OS 4 is just around the corner (Monday Noon), so we advise you to hold your horses for the moment. We’ll update you with each and every OS 4 jailbreak and unlock update. Good news!

Alhough it’s kind of useless without further details (at least for me…kind of newbie).

Which baseband/bootloader is this unlock compatible with?

I’ve currently on fw:3.1.3 bb:5.12.01 bl:6.4 (jailbroken but obviously no unlock)

If i upgrade to OS4, does it mean that I’m able to finally unlock the phone?

    thanks
