Xperia X10 Rooted, Release in Coming Weeks

17 May 2010 by Vinay No Comment

Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-X10-Android-UX-official Jerpelea, senior member over XDA forums released rooted roms for Sony Xperia X10! [Check Official Thread]. Well it’s good to hear but very complicated at the moment, those roms aren’t supposed to flash with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) it requires SETool, a flashing system that runs on dedicated hardware. You need a $100 SEtoolBox + $90 Credits, That’s ~$200 for rooting a Phone. Jerpelea and team covered only half way down the road, it may take 2-3 weeks more until team finds an alternative (free & easy) way to flash rooted images to X10.

We’ll keep you posted on further developments and latest information on X10 root, so stay tuned with us.
