iPhone OS 4.0 Jailbreak with Blackra1n Confirmed by GeoHot

13 April 2010 by Vinay 8 Comments

A 2-3 days ago GeoHot published a picture of iPad with Blackra1n and Cydia to confirm that he successfully jailbreak the iPad, today GeoHot published another picture that shows Jailbroken iPhone Firmware 4.0 Beta with Cydia and Blackra1n on screen. So from now both geohot and the DEV team have a working jailbreak for iPad 3.2, iPhone OS 3.1.3 and iPhone OS 4.0 beta 1 in the closet, but wait to publish the next iPhone update and iPad 3G.

Big deal. More photos. More videos. I am sure due their bragging and geo boosting of encrypt keys apple is working hard to patch the holes. Why wait? If your that good crack it again.

    I agree with you ^^ Dr-sirty

Why wait, they should just release it…

I guess just like apple, they are holding the monopoly,

I don’t understand why hope to 4.0 release firmware to unlocked and jailbreak firmware 3.1.3, Is not good idea? Do you have any idea for that.

I can’t believe that all they keep doing is releasing that they have jailbroken the new firmwares and showing it off, but apple no doubt keeps tabs on what’s going on with the jailbreaking so you KNOW they’re working to figure out what to fix before the final release comes out. And when it does, I wouldn’t be surprised if those jailbreaks went bye bye

GeoHot claimed 3 weeks ago to have an untethered jailbreak for the 3GS, but so far it remains vaporware.
