Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone, iPod Touch 3.1.3 & iPad (Video)

GeoHot is back with a bang, yes once again GeoHot wins the cat and mouse game. According to latest bog post from GeoHot, he claims to successful untethered jailbreak for iPhone and whole iPod family including missing iPod touch 3G. Geo says “ The jailbreak is all software based, and is as simple to use as blackra1n. It is completely untethered, works on all current tethered models [iPod touch G2, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch G3], and will probably work on iPad too.”

About release date GeoHot posted “ Don’t ask about a release date. You won’t make it happen any sooner.” So hold your horses and wait for the iPad release. In the mean time enjoy this wonderful video you are waiting from long..

The video, shows that its an iPod touch 3rd Gen, because it has voice activation, which geohot, held on the earphone remote control until it was activated, which also means it has the latest baseband 5.12.01 and is running 3.1.3(common sense),
Jailbroaken because of Winterboard as u can see the background is changed, (common sense)

Untethered because, it restarted without the need to connect it to a computer.

It’s not a fake. The headphones on the bottom show that it is a iPod touch, the voice control action show that it is the third generation, the background shows that it is jailbroken, and the reboot shows that it is untethered. It has nothing to do with 3.2 os but rather that we can now jailbreak the iPod touch 3g.

Really guys, I want to believe this as much as anyone. If Geohot has an untethered jailbreak solution for any ipod/ipad that’s fucking amazing and I’m really excited. But has no one considered the fact this it is dangerously close to April Fool’s Day?

This is in no way fake. I believe GeoHot is holding out until apple releases OS 4.0. To release it now would mean apple would patch the exploit when OS 4 is released, and then we’ll all be in the same boat we are in now.
