RedSn0w 0.9 for Firmware 3.1.2 is Just Around the Corner

6 January 2010 by Vinay No Comment

Musclenerd tweeted that he managed to retrieve the source code Redsn0w, now he is rewriting Redsn0w to make compatible with firmware 3.1.2 and will be released for Windows, Mac and Linux. I know the first two questions in your mind are, can we unlock the third-generation iPod Touch? What about the iPhone 3GS with new iBoot? And answer of both questions is NO. Redsn0w 0.9 is a Tethered jailbreak for newest iPhone 3GS, newest iPod Touch 2G, all iPod touch 3G. Redsn0w 0.9 is updated version of previous Redsn0w with 3.1.2 support and a new feature to change the boot logo now implemented in Redsn0w tool also.

55267114 Windows version will arrive very soon, Mac OS and Linux version will follow the Windows release. As usual Dev team is silent on any ETA but the screenshot Musclenerd tweeted earlier confirms they are almost done.
