Leaked Specifications of Apple Tablet 2010?

4 January 2010 by Vinay 5 Comments

PhoneArena cites anonymous tipster source who is confident that there will be a 7-inch model of the Apple tablet. Phone Arena also posted the internal Apple documents courtesy of the tipster. The vast majority of rumor reports regarding the tablet have described the product as a 10-inch version of the iPhone or iPod Touch.  If the following information is correct tablet isn’t just another iPod or iPhone with large screen. Rumored specification are Core 2 Duo Processor with 2GB DDR3 RA M and a whooping 120GB (at least for handheld) hard drive. Tipster expected to have either 7-inch or 10-inch display (or both via two different versions). And last, but not least important, is the operating system. Leaked documents (rumored) indicates tablet is going to launch with OS X 10.7, codename “Clouded Leopard”.

Rumored Specifications

  • 7.1-inch multitouch display
  • 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo processor
  • 2GB DDR3 RAM
  • 120GB hard drive
  • Built-in projector
  • Mac OS X 10.7 Clouded Leopard

Rumored Leaked Apple internal documents

90300-Apple_tablet1 90300-Apple_tablet3No company feeds off mystery more than Apple, the Cupertino-based company has neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of a “tablet” computer device. If internet reports are true Apple is currently planning to announce it on January 26, 2010, and to use an iPhone-like hype buildup period to start selling it in March or June/July. Most possibly March is a good time so that iPhone and Tablet sale do not lash each other.

We can’t say any word on how legit the documents are, but the event is 22 days left so be ready for more rumors.

At least the second document has been photoshopped. The word “Clouded” is in a slightly smaller font, looks less bold and is placed slightly higher than the other text on the same line. It just looks like a “Snow Leopard” document, where the word “Snow” has been replaced by “Clouded”.

Besides, iSlate doesn’t look like an Apple name to me. It just reminds too much of the word “iSolate”.

This is probably just a photoshopped Mac Mini document. The specs are close enough

If you look closely, you will see that the iSlatre thingy was wrote on a different font, style and posibly alineation.
