15 January 2010 by Vinay No Comment

CNET reported that they received a mail from “prominent” iPhone application developer, regarding his app has been updated for iPhone OS 4.0 This means Apple has already delivered OS 4.0 and development iPhone_OS_4.0_270x198 tools into the hands of select developers. According to CNET report “iPhone OS 4.0 is imminent. At least, that’s the only conclusion I can draw from an e-mail I just received from a prominent app developer. Just wanted to give you a heads up that we’ve submitted an updated app for the new iPhone OS 4.0 software.” Various reports over internet suggested that Apple’s special media event now reportedly scheduled for January 27th, earlier it was rumored on 26th. We may see both the introduction of the company’s much-rumored tablet device and the launch of beta versions of iPhone OS 4.0 and the associated Software Development Kit for developers.

iPhone is getting tough competition from Android based phones, for e.g. Droid, Nexus One etc. We can expect tons of new features in terms of software and hardware in upcoming iPhone and OS. We already  published an open letter to Apple “Dear Apple, here’s what we want for iPhone 4.0”, as usual we have to wait for the Apple event where rumors turns in to reality.
