Its finally the end of all the rumors that have been keeping us on the edge, as Apple has just announced the most anticipated Apple product called “iPad”. Was this iPad worth all the hype? See for yourself.
“In order to create a new category of devices, those devices will have to be far better at doing some key tasks — important things — better than the laptop and smartphone. What kind of tasks? Things like browsing the web, enjoying and sharing photos, videos, enjoying music, playing games, reading e-books.” Here comes the iPad.
1 ) Weighing at 1.5 pounds and just 0.5 inches thin, the iPad delivers a 9.7 inch capacitive display with full featured multitouch support.

4 ) Equipped with an accelerometer, a compass, speaker, mic, dock connector and an astonishing powerful battery, that can achieve 10 hours of battery life. You think thats quite amazing, the iPad can stay in standby mode for over a month.

So as you can see this amazing device is equipped with very neat hardware specs that would certainly replace all the net books out there. It is very fast and responsive, contains different storage capacities, would have been better though if there were more storage choices. It is a great internet browsing device which gives you a totally new experience for your browsing.
Lets take a look at the software side of this iPad.
1 ) Apple has built this device making it compatible with all the current iPhone and iPodTouch applications. Without the need of modification, the iPad can run all applications. How did Apple manage to do that? It can be done in 2 ways. First, it can be done with pixel for pixel accuracy in a black box. Second, it can be done through pixel-double in order to run them in full screen.
Here is an application that Scott demoed for us during the event: Facebook, which is used by almost everyone. Lets take a look how well integrated it is in the iPad.
If you can notice the “1x” button, at first it would be “2x” which would double your pixels and make the application available in full screen mode.
Another application preview that is downloaded as it is out of the box with no modifications at all, SnowCross. Look how beautiful it looks on this amazing screen.

2 ) Apple has also released a new SDK which contains iPad tools, that allows developers to build amazing applications for the iPad.

3 ) Apple has shared its iPad secret a couple weeks ago with a couple of developers, that have managed to develop applications for the iPad in just 2 weeks. Lets take a look at these applications.
“We’re really excited about the possibilities for developers on the iPad. About 2 weeks ago we invited some developers to Apple to give them a sneak peek and see what they can build in just a couple weeks.” – Scott
First off Gameloft, the best and largest game developer yet to be found on the AppStore. Gameloft previewed a game called Nova, which is a first person shooter. According to some live blogs, the game was kind of slow, but don’t forget it was done in just 2 weeks. The gameplay is said to be pretty awesome and amazing, it brings a new perspective to gaming.
Second, New York Times. Martin Nisenholtz, the speaker that announced the plans of NYT for the iPad, which will bring a new way of reading a newspaper.

Ok now for quite a thrill, EA is showing off their latest Need For Speed Shift on the iPad. Including all of the amazing features of the accelerometer and touch screen. Wow imagine holding the 9.7 inch iPad in your hands and tilting it to drive. The graphics do look extremely nice.
Now for all you Baseball fans out there, MLB has something for you. A very detailed and beautiful application from MLB.com which brings Baseball to the palm of your hands.
We have finished with all the 3rd Party apps. Lets take a look at what Apple is offering from built in applications for the iPad.
1 ) Home Screen: The home screen of the iPad very much resembles that of the iPhone and iPod Touch.
2 ) iBooks: You saw how nice it is to read a newspaper off your iPad, well why not read books also?
“Amazon’s done a great job of pioneering this functionality with the Kindle. We’re going to stand on their shoulders and go a little further.”
The user interface of this application is pretty slick, your purchased ebooks will be displayed on a bookshelf . You can tap right or left to change the page or you can do it manually by just flicking through the pages using your finger. Furthermore, you can change the font and font size and all the pretty basic functions are included. The place where you buy the ebooks can be accessed through the application directly and instantly downloaded to your iPad. Ofcourse the ebooks wont be free, for example the book “It’s just so simple!” is priced at $14.99.
3 ) Web Browsing experience: The iPad will surely deliver the best web browsing experience there is. Here are a couple of images to see how beautiful the sites render. You will see the whole page infront of you, which is definitely better than browsing on the iPhone.
4 ) Emailing just got bigger and better. Imagine how huge the keyboard would be on this bad boy. The interface is quite close to that of the iPhone, it brings up two pane view in landscape mode, and 1 pane in portrait mode.
5 ) iTunes, iTunes store and Photos, are built in and have quite a nice interface. With built in slideshows. You will get the same feel such as using on iPhone or Mac, however its a totally different aspect.

7 ) Calendar Application features a totally redefined user interface which is simply gorgeous.
8 ) Compatible with iTunes on Mac and Windows, through the pin connector, you can connect the iPad to your Mac and sync it just like you sync your iPhone and iPod Tocuh, from photos, music, movies, tv shows, contacts, calendars, applications….

Furthermore, the best about all of this is that the iPads are all unlocked and can be used internationally. There is no Contract, you can cancel anytime.
