Wanna Untethered Jailbreak Find Red Balloons In Exchange

GeoHot requested his followers to help him in winning the DARPA Network Challenge. In exchange he will make the community an untethered jailbreak. In America these days a competition called DARPA Network Challenge game that combines the social networking is being held. The challenge is to be able to submit the first 10 positions in which a red ball is seen in the various countries of the United States. Geohot has requested assistance in The DARPA Network Challenge is a competition that explores the role the Internet and social networking play in the timely communication, wide-area team-building, and urgent mobilization required to solve broad-scope, time-critical problems.

23109The challenge is to be the first to submit the locations of 10 moored, 8-foot, red, weather balloons at 10 fixed locations in the continental United States. The balloons will be in readily accessible locations and visible from nearby roads.

How to participate

  • If you are US residence >> hunt your local area in the sky, about 8ft round, numbered 1 to 10 more details here http://bit.ly/7chum5
  • If you are a NON US residence >> simply spread the word by tweeting and trending #dudeitsaballoon

    Somehow, I still think that the untethered jailbreak will appear in the nearby future. I think George already has a clue on how to do that, otherwise he wouldn’t have made his offer. And remember the baseband hack, on that occasion he kept his promise too (although it took him a little more time than expected).
