TVout TVOut2 Not another TV Out for your iPhone

TVout TVOut2 Mirror is a new tweak released in Cydia, tweak aims to allow you to view any game and application within the iPhone home screen of your TV using a cable TV Out. Tweak also featured with Portrait and Landscape with Springboard in “mirror” mode on your TV. This app is much better than the landscape-TVOUT as it rotates the screen AND has mirroring. This works perfectly, still a little problem with the theme of the frames (a short hop from time to time) but not appreciated. You can adjust the display to your liking and is very fast. Tested with unofficial apple cable bought from e-Bay. Obviously you need to connect your device with a cable TV OUT.

Note : it says you should uninstall any other TVOut apps before using! So you You should remove other TVOut packages before installing TVOut2 to avoid conflicts.

tvout2-3 tvout2-2 tvout2-1 One of the main feature is the ability to manage various parameters through the application. For example we may choose at any time if you show the pictures in portrait or in Landscapee and we can also adjust the images on TV making them climb higher, go down, more to the right or to the left.

By far the best app in its category (mirroring the TV out)
It’s even better than the paid apps that should do the same but don’t
    I’m running it on a Ipod2G 4.2.1 and a Dealextreme 2$ cable. Amazing!
But everything is not pink in this life. I have a small issue: When I use the multitask function (and the multitask taskbar) with the cable connected, it restarts into safemode. If I don’t open the multitask taskbar, it doesn’t eat memory at all.
    Keep the good work!

I am having trouble with tvout2 mirror tv out on my iPhone 3GS with 4.0 OS. The app exports the video signal to the monitor fine but it splits the screen on the monitor in half and projects the image from the phone on each side of the screen. What do I need to do to get the app to show the image across the entire screen and not split it and show the same image twice?

    Guido,

This application is pretty amazing. I had always used Screensplitr in the past (3GS 3.1.2) which was MUCH slower and had no customizations. I’m now using an iPhone 4 on 4.0.1 and it works flawlessly. You’ve done a FANTASTIC job working on this app. I really appreciate your work.

I’d also be happy to help with any testing you need done as I fully support this concept.

    Thanks!
    Nick

    Im having a slight problem.

i used to use this app regularly until one day it stopped working.

i run the app, push tv on, plug my phone in, and it pops on screen for a second and then the tv goes blank again.

i thought it may have been the chord at first so i bought a new one (both apple licensed) but to no avail

anyone have a solution to this?

please let me know because id love to get this working again

    THANKS!

    Hi,

guido here maintainer of TVOut2.. You can find a little more information in this thread about TVOut2.

The main problems are with video and transparent overlays. Note that video through the apple apps: iPod/youtube/safari will require a genuine cable as they use the original apple code that was always available to display.

Contact me using the email in cydia if you have any problems/suggestions or you want to help in testing.

    Enjoy!
