I got it installed (10.6.7) incl. vmware tools, but there's no graphics acceleration (1920x1200). Even screen saver is very slow, zoom is slow, etc...
Host is PC: i5-760 @3.2GHz, 8Gb ddr3 (1333), radeon HD4850 graphics.
Any help would be appreciated!

@eric, @ed:

could you please write how to install vmware fusion tools (i assume: com.vmware.fusion.tools.darwin.pkg) so it'll work with snow leopard and allow to change resolution etc?

step by step instruction would be the best.

I had Mac OS running on VMWare workstation, I updated the OS version and now it won't recognise either the mouse or keyboard. I went back to an earlier version but still have the same problem. Does anyone know how to get the mouse and keyboard working again inside the guest OS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to you all who have made this possible, I purchased an Acer TimelineX 1830 ultraportable 2 days ago and was able to get OSX 10.6.2 installed and working in vmware after a few hours playing around. Screen Resolution fixed, audio and video working, webcam working, internet working. Thorough testing may bring out some so far hidden rough edges, but the system is running like a charm and is fully functional.

Thanks, all of you again.

Whenever I try to start IMovie, a message comes up saying that Quartz Extreme is required.
Do you guys have any idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks

Ok after lots of struggle figured out how to install vmware tools

After your snow leapord is all set, and you are able to login, click on the cd icon at the bottom of the vmware window and select connect (basically you are connecting darwin_snow.iso as cd again, once connected, you should see a prompt for vmware tool installation on your screen.

Yes it is that simple.

Good Luck
