iPhone Firmware 3.1.3 and 4.0 Traces Found

14 December 2009 by Vinay 2 Comments

BGR spotted the traces of iPhone firmware 3.1.3 and 4.0 in their visitors logs, so this means Apple is testing the Firmware 3.1.3 a minor update for current generation of iPhones and OS 4.0 for upcoming iPhone. Apple hasn’t seeded any beta release of 3.1.3 to developers yet. But we can assure you that a Baseband update is definitely cooked up in Cupertino Campus. So no matter if 3.1.3 available sooner or later, don’t update your Jailbroken phones directly to stock firmware. iPhone 3GS (Jailbroken) users permanently note in your mind if you haven’t saved your Cydia SHSH yet then save it now. By saving your SHSH you can survive with your jailbreak even Apple stop signing the 3.1.2 firmware.

About upcoming iPhone and OS 4.0 all we can say that, Apple needs 4.0 to be a revolutionary new OS with major new features, as the hype surrounding the iPhone is quickly dying off due to what Android brings to the table. Motorola Droid and now Google Nexus One creating lots of hype and no doubt in some comparisons these Android phones are miles ahead from iPhone. OS 4.0 is still six months away and we are sure Apple will set new standard as always.

Needless to say : we’ll update you with new guides once the firmware 3.1.3 and updated version of pwnage tool will be available. You can follow us on twitter or subscribe our free daily e-mail newsletter to make sure yourself not to miss any buzz of the iPhone community.
