I love jailbraking because it makes me feel special among those that I know and have an iPhone, because they could feel cool because they have an iPhone but not knowing that you can do more than just having an iPhone is not cool, things such and customize your Springboard, being able to play with the console and having apps that let you take real advantage of what the iPhone represents.

I like to jailbreak my iPhone because without jailbreak you cannot use the full potential of the little powerhouse called iPhone.

About this app, I’m using the lite version, and its pretty cool. Can’t wait to get the free license.

the iphone is a freaking computer, i jailbreak mine so that i have control over it like a computer, access to file system, etc. just imagine how lame a macbook would be if you couldn’t dig around.

Jailbreaking makes iPhone perfect! Without it phone is just a bulk one, but after releasing phone’s capabilities it’s totally unique!

  • Squirrel61 said:

Is there really noone who’s interested in this app, except me?

Well, the reason why I love jailbreaking my iDevices is that I don’t want to be factory-limited. In fact, I’m hacking every electronic device in my house. PSP, NDS, Xbox, you name it and it is hacked.

The main benefits for me of jailbreaking the iPhone are carrier unlocking, the ability to install the apps that Apple is refusing for the appstore and the ability to SSH/SCP into my iPhone.

  • vickarth said:

Hey!!! i would love to have the Smartscreen on my iPhone…the reason to jailbreak is to have those features/apps which should have been by default and provided by apple.

  • Christopher Leung said:

I followed you on twitter, subscribed to your free daily e-mail news letter and have spread my words to my friends.

Now, I love to jailbreak my ipod touch because it allows me to install 3rd party applications like Netshare which is not available on the apple store and i can change my ipod’s looks and feel with winterboard.

    I hope i get the license. =)

I love to jailbreak because it gives me more freedom and power with my phone to change and adjust it so that it fits my needs and wants. And also I love the unlock because it gives me the freedom of choice to pick the provider I want rather than falling under AT&T’s monopolistic control!

  • Ben F said:

I love jailbreaking because it iritates me to have a company that’s making millions of dollars a year have control of a product that they no longer own/have possesion of. With jailbreaking the possibilities are endless with themes, mods, free apps, emulators and more!

  • Norman Rindom said:

I think this will be a great app for me becasue it will largly diminish the number of times I unlock my phone each day to get basic information!

  • Leon said:

I love to jailbreak my iphone because I dont want to be in the grips of Apple.

I like smart screen. I was using intelliscreen, after that transfered to LockInfo, and to cydget, but none of them fulfilled my expectations. Hope this one will. Greets!

  • Raul Mtz said:

Jailbreaking for me is a matter of principle. I bought this phone for a pretty penny hence I am entitled to use it the best way it suits my needs. Sadly apple has failed to care for customers and forced us to jailbreak in the pursue of freedom.

  • Spboon said:

id love to try this out…count me in

Jailbreaking my iPhone is so good ! I can install many thing easily via cydia …

  • Jarrett Hickman said:

Jailbreaking makes the iPhone worth having. It’s like having a Toyota Supra and being told that it has to stay stock. Also just because Apple doesn’t approve it doesn’t mean that it’s not any good or needed. IMO jailbreaking in the reason Y some of us still have our iPhones.

  • eric said:

jailbreaking is the only way to get the iphone working as apple should have made it in the first place: theming, backgrounding, sbs-toggles, sms helper, to name but a few.
smartscreen looks good, but as I discussed in another forum ( http://bit.ly/5fPYWO ): not worth it in the lite version (it takes the music controls away from the lockscreen)

  • Justin Richardson said:

I love jailbreaking because it allows me to shoot video with my 3g, customize the look of my iPhone, travel the world using different sim carriers, and have a 5 icon dock!!! Oh yeah the ‘real’ flashlight is awesome too. Thanks for the contest! Best of luck to everyone.

Jailbreaking the iPhone allows me to extend its usefulness, usability and functionality.
    ‘Nuff said!

  • James said:

    I like it.

  • Aaron said:

I like to jailbreak my iPod because it opens up so many new possibilities for it. Want to customize your springboard? Winterboard. Want to run something in the background? Backgrounder. Want to install basically anything that Apple won’t let you? Cydia. There are so many benefits to jailbreaking.., there’s not enough room to fit them all here! :P

  • Safi said:

One simple reason I jailbreak… My iPhone is mine and I want it to be like no other out there. That’s why I theme it, mod it& change the interface to be like what Mr. Jobs never intended it to be… :)
that’s whi it now looks like this.. http://twitpic.com/ph81z

A jailbreaked iPhone is like a Mac in your pocket.
I couldn’t live without biteSMS, Backrounder, 3G Unrestrictor, iMobileCinema and other apps availble only for jailbreaked iPhones. Cydia is way more useful than App Store, which has 90% crap.
Everythnig is possible thanks to people like Saurik, DevTeam, GeoHot and others..
    Thank you!

  • Stephen Gillis said:

Smartscreen is not only convenient, but makes common use applications more readily accessible. This, in turn, makes the iPhone even a better portable tool for daily use.

Jailbreak, for me, is especially nice because I travel a lot and without the tethering feature, I would be dead in the water trying to VPN back to my office to work. Tethering is a natural extension of the iPhone and to not have it really kills a functionality of what I use my iPhone for every week!

Like a former poster has already commented, Many thanks to Saurik, GeoHot, DevTeam, and any others that have contributed to JB, BlackRa1n, and the various unlocking solutions!

Being able to use tools like the SBsetings, cyrecorder, make the Jailbreak be proved necessary.

    greetings from Bolivia

Tener la posibilidad de usar herramientas como el SBsetings, cyrecorder, hacen que el Jailbreak sean nesesarios.

    saludos desde bolivia

    Well :

Jailbreaking an iPhone gives user the ability to use it to it’s fullest potential. Not being limited to what apple allows us to do.

Using a stock iPhone (Not Jailbroken) is like using a regular phone and that’s exactly what it’s NOT made for !

Freedom of speech means something, if Apple doesn’t see that well, they need to get a life !

    Ch33rs & Thanks Vinay ;)
