Snow Leopard 10.6.2 : Atom Support Breaks

Apple today released Mac OS X 10.6.2 update to address various security, stability and compatibility issues. Netbook Hackint0sh users are advised to stay away from this update, it’s confirmed Snow Leopard 10.6.2 update breaks the Atom support in hackintosh. Wait for the modded kernel and detailed guide. The vanilla hackintoshers are all free from any workaround for updating there rig, though it’s highly suggested to backup your /Extra (just in case), you may need to install Audio/Video/Lan drivers after the reboot.

Ultrasn0w 0.92: Fix Missing Carrier Logo after Jailbreak

MuscleNerd released a new version of ultrasn0w 0.92 with carrier logo fix.  Last ultrasn0w has a issue with the logo of the carrier that did not appear regularly after the unlock. Earlier today Musclenerd asked beta tester to test ultrasn0w 0.92 on his personal repo. Now, however, the DevTeam has released the new update in the official repositories. FYI that ultrasn0w may be used only to unlock iPhone 3G/3GS with baseband 4.26.08, and all those who have the new version 05.11.07 be used blacksn0w of GeoHot.

Apple is Going Hard on iPhone Jailbreaking

It seems Apple is going hard and hard on Jailbreak community. Last month Apple updated iBoot for new iPhone new version to fix a security vulnerability that prevents the exploit 24kpwn More details here and here. Since the 24kpwn is fixed the only way to jailbreak new purchased iPhone is a Tethered jailbreak, but it is quite inconvenient as you have to re-run the jailbreak every time you restart the phone.
