HTC Cydget : HTC Clock Widget on iPhone Lockscreen

15 November 2009 by Vinay 5 Comments

Earlier this week we published CyDialer : Call Friends from the Cover Flow LockScreen and Weather Cydget : Weather Widget on LockScreen. Here we go with another plugin/widget called HTC Cydget, is a new theme for the lockscreen able to display clock like the HTC phone in real time. Cydget is only a “container” that can then be filled by us with various plugins available in Cydia. Or in easy words Cydget is the winterboard for iPhone lockscreen themes and widgets. Till now Cydialer, Weather and HTC Clock are available to use with Cydget and we covered all of them.

Cydialer costs money. Stop listing this stuff without mentioning the requirements or the cost involved. That’s pretty lame and underhanded. Don’t go app$tore on us.

After installing Cydget, my phone had to reboot several times before it came up. Then I installed HTC and it happened again but then the clock came up and everything seemed ok. I then installed the weather widget which caused the phone to simply reboot over and over. I was quite worried that I would need to reset the phone but then I remembered a trick described on this site for a different issue. I connected the phone to USB, ran iPhone browser, then deleted all entries for cydget and its widgets. The phone became stable after reboot. (I then went into Cydia and deleted all the Cydget programs.)
