Rebel EFI : Psystar Releases for Mac OS X Installation on PC

Finally the moment comes when Psystar Corporation has begun selling their software to run OS X Snow Leopard on generic Intel hardware. Rebel EFI suite is available for download directly from Psystar.com, the Rebel EFI suite allows users to easily install any OS on their computer. Rebel EFI allows machines with Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, i7 or Xeon Nehalem CPUs to install any modern operating system, including Mac’s newest release of OS X. Users would simply download the new software from Psystar.com, burn it onto a CD and follow the onscreen instructions to easily install the OS.

Available as a time-limited free trial to ensure compatibility, the full version of Rebel EFI is normally priced at $89.99 but is currently being offered at an introductory price of $49.99. A demo version of the software will also be available for download free of charge so users can test-drive the software before purchasing. The demo version would still allow users to install Mac OS X onto their computers, but with limited hardware functionality as compared with the full version.

Yeah I got to the same screen where it shows the gray screen with Apple logo. The spinning wheel appears and after it spins for a while it goes to a gray blank screen where nothing happens. I don’t think it works. Thats probably why Psystar’s website is down…
