Hi, I tried to use a custom firmware 3.1.2 to jailbreak my iphone 3gs 3.0.1 without first jail breaking the 3.0.1 version. This keeps giving me 1600 error in DFU and 1604 in recovery mode.
Now I cannot go back to 3.0.1 because apple has stopped signing that and cannot upgrade to 3.1.2 because that will update the baseband and I'll not be able to unlock.
Is there something I can do with Ireb here to avoid the 16xx errors I am getting?
Also, the windows link for the latest IREB on the official website is giving a 404 error. Is that not available yet?

Thanks,
M

Good job, it seems. Can we expect a unlock for BB 05.11.07 (with BL 5.9 or higher)?

I just jailbroke my 3GS / 3.1.2 FW today, as well as my wife's 3G / 3.1.2 FW. Never done this before, but both are working great. I don't understand what iREB, Sn0wbreeze, PwnageTool, etc is. What will this new iREB do for my 3GS and my wife's 3G, and should I get it?
