also jive downloaded like 30 freakin’ firmware files and i cant get any of them to work. i honostly dont know what to do with them after i unzip them and none of the ones ive found have an ipsw file in them. i dont know if this helps any or if anyone can tell me what the hell im supposed to do with those files. please anyone im begging you all out there for help!!

ok please im begging anyone out there for help!! im kinda new to all of this but have been catching on fairly quicky. here is my problem: i recently just got a iphone 2g from my mom who didnt want it. it has 3.1.3 on it (ifound that out using the program ‘spirit’. ive tried everything out there i can find: redsn0w, limera1n, greenpois0n, ih8esn0w, blackra1n, ultrssn0w. pretty much everything and i still get nothing. ive put in different sims anad still nothing. i even called at&t to see if anything was wrong with the phone and they said no. im still stuck on the itunes activation on my iphone and none of the above mentioned programs help. please help me anyone!! please reply to my email at sic_maggot8@yahoo.com as i cant check this cite often. i just want to play with my iphone please anyone help asap!!

I have iphone 2g I upgrade it to firmware 3.1.3 I jailbrok it with redsn0w 0.9.4 it worked but seems like it has not been unlocked,it can not recognize my sim,gives me “No Service” at the left top,Waht should I do ,Please somebody help me ,PLEASE,SOS!!!!

Hey Guys,

I have a few questions & hoping someone can help me. I bought a used iPhone for use as a skype/ipod/wifi device. I plugged into itunes on Jan/09/2010 and updated it, thinking nothing of it. I don’t plan on using it as a phone and I don’t want to. Well now it’s locked on me and displays “no SIM Card installed Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate iPhone. Not knowing what version it installed, I tried the steps above to Jailbreak it, but I’m not familiar at all with iPhones or any apple gear.

I have a Windows PC and would like to use this phone without a SIM card or plan. Is there any way I can get this going without being able to enter the phone to find out the version, using a windows pc?

Thanks kim pyong guk, it worked by doing what you said:

hey if you get eror 1600 after restore
now i have solution

iphone in condition 3.0 or 3.0.1 firmware
connect to itunes
then select restore and select the costume restore firmware that you have downloaded
and restore it manually without DFU or recovery mode.
