Good news for the peoples who accidentally upgraded their iPhone 3G to OS 3.1 beta. iPhone OS 3.1 Beta updates your current baseband to 5.08.01which is unlockable at the moment because Ultrasn0w is not supported by the latest baseband. Bigboss released Fyzzyband 3.1b1-1. Fuzzyband Downgrader is a safer iPhone 3G Baseband Downgrader as this one detects your baseband and bootloader version and does the wright thing first. More general 3GFuzzyband Downgrader detects your bootloader and baseband and downgrade it with a simple click. Fuzzyband Downgrader available in ICY and Cydia just refresh your sources and search n install the application.
latest version of Fuzzyband Downgrader has two features Upgrades / Downgrades baseband to 4.26.08 for unlocking with the ultrasn0w tool released by the iPhone Dev-Team. If you are on a lower baseband than 4.26.08 Upgrading will put the 4.26.08 baseband from 3.0 on the modem so that ultrasn0w may be installed from Cydia. Downgrading works from any version greater than 4.26.08 (currently 5.08.01 is the newest version available, found in 3.1 beta 1). It will put your baseband back at version 4.26.08 which is the current unlockable version by Ultrasn0w.
Downgrading only works on phones that have the 05.08 (5.8) Bootloader from the factory. This is a very limited number of phones that were released in the first few weeks of the 3G production cycle. If you do not know your bootloader then you can run Fuzzyband and it will report the version number for you. In my case i have bootloader 5.09 but my baseband is 4.26.08 and i m very concerned about baseband updates. So after the OS 3.1 final release I’ll wait for the Dev team release.

the update was iPhone2,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restorewhat will i do to make my iphone again unlocked

i have iphone 3G version 2.2.1 before using fuzzy band.. after i installed fuzzyband and accidentally upgraded the the base band to 4.26.08 and asked me to up grade my version to 3.0 to be able use ultrasnow..and my bootloader is accidentally changed to 6.04,, now my spec is Bootloader 6.04 with Baseband upgraded to 4.26.08 and ultrasnow isntalled..
its work for any GSM card but not for UMTS..
Im also waiting for the dev team for an unlock for bootloader 6.02 Plz do something in this regard as its been so long.
I am also waiting for the DEV team to come up with an unlock for the bootloader version 6.02 as my iphone 3g is pretty much just a ipod touch for quite sometime now. Please please come up with the same.

got the same problem, my iphone was stuck , so i reloaded the software via itunes…
Now it jailbreaked with 3.1 , baseband 5.11.07 and bootloader 6.02 !
My question is: Can we use a additional sim (Gevey Sim, Turbo Sim, Rebel Sim) for unlock. In that case its worth just paying 10 Bucks/Euro’s for such a simcard… Then just wait till a new version of ultrasnow comes out!
Is there anybody who tested the gevey sim?

Thats amazing! How the heck did u manage to do that? Have 5.09 bootloader and still have 04/26/08 BB?! >< im like just waiting for anything to get my iphone 3g unlocked. I have 3.0 or 3.1 bootloader [i found a way to hange them] 5.09 bootloader and 05/11/07 BB.
I have also got the same problem , upgraded Iphone 3G to 3.1 OS. I am able to downgrade to 3.0 and jailbreak. Unlock doesnt work as it has bootloader 6.04 and baseband 5.11.07. Waiting for some a solution.

Guys, are we screwed? Is there a chance that my 6.02 bootloader iphone might be nothing more that an ipod due to this freaking update? I bouhgt this on ebay on monday, i enjoyed for a 2 or 3 days….never knew that i should never do an update on itunes… damn…

I have upgraded to 3.1 and it’s locked. I downgraded to 3.0 but baseband is still stucked at 5.11.07. Fuzzyband does not work due to my 6.4 baseband ootloader. Now phone is just became an ipod with apps. Any suggestions?

Hi i tried to jail break my iphone 3g, it had 3.1 from the store. i got the Pwnage tool to wrok but it dont change my band to lower. its stil on 05.11.07 =( so i cant unlock it.

i have boot loader 5.09 and baseband 05.11.04 running on 3.0.1 fw.
I dont want to unlock it but it has been jailbroken. I am getting no service issue, any suggestions as to how i can use my iphone with my original sim with the above?
Its freaking *** that now my iphone is just a stupid itouch without the actual network signals.

@ Shobhit Dude you just messed with your baseband and thats really bad for you. There is no tool at the moment to downgrade your Baseband on Bootloader 5.9 Now wait for 3.1 release and Dev team release. My prediction is they will release updated version of RedSn0w to jailbreak only and for unlocking they’ll release a updated version of Pwnage tool (Custom Firmware). Now pray from god that Dev team find any loophole in latest baseband otherwise your phone is no more than a iPod..
I found out that this also helps when trying to downgrade to 3.0 and you get no signal because of the updated baseband. thanks for the help!!!
