Help people.
I tried to unlock/jailbreak my iphone 2g with redsn0w, followed all the steps and it seemed to be working. After the message, “the rest of this process takes place on your device. Done!” my iphone remained on the home (apple icon) forever and even force shutting down isn’t resolving the problem!!! What do I do now. Thanks!

I have completed the steps twice. Both times the software showed “successful” and I still don’t see Cydia. It is not loading.

Hey Guys,

I am using Iphone 2g which I jailbroke successfully some time back. Recently I accidentally updated itunes latest version and my iphone has struck with apple icon.

I tried unlocking using redsnow with IPGSW file iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw, I am getting message until downloading jailbreak data after that I am not getting message which actually updates software.

Need your help.

Hey guys,

I might have the solution. Try to hold in the main button during the whole process, even after the seconds have counted down in the last DFU step. I had the exact same problem as you all, the software kept crashing, so I tried this and it worked right away.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have unlock my iphone 2G before with quickpwn. Following instructions, I restored my phone to 3.0 without my US AT&T sim card. Started redsnow to update to 3.0, but it got STUCK on “wait to reboot.” I have tried doing it on windows xp also (besides my mac) as some blog said but it didn’t work because window xp doesn’t recognize DFU mode of the iphone. now my phone is back to lock and I can’t get it unlock again!

Have the same problem as ziggy.

but was on 1.02 original version. Restored to 3.0 first then did redsnow procedure.

Everything worked fine, so then I restored my backup data in itunes, and that completed in itunes BUT while doing the backup the iphone showed a logo and progress bar. That never ended even though the data restore was done so I finally had to home-power restart the phone.

Every time it restarts now it goes to the apple logo and progress bar and does a little then just sits there.

Currently retrying the whole procedure for about 3-4 times because itunes restore works to kill the progress bar and let me start over…

now itunes can’t even detect my iphone so can’t restore.worst thing is everytime i restart only apple logo appears and automatically went off after a few seconds.

tried to do redshow over and over again but just got stuck to download jailbreak data forever.

please help!!!!
