Please let me know if you could guide me with issues with my ipod touch.

I have a 1 generation ipod touch and it worked fine untill now.
The issue is my ipod touch wont turn OFF.. as soon as i slide to shutdown the apple logo appears again and it restarts

hey i’ve got iphone first version, it should be on 3.1.3 firmware… the thing is that i cannot access menu – it is in the emergency mode. and when i plug it it, itunes says that the sim card is not supported… i tried to unlock it / jailbreak it with redsnOw and blackra1n… it did not work… when the phone was idfu mode, it did not come back afterwards and the pictures which suppose to appear did not :/… nothing was installed in the phone… any ideas?

I forgot my phone unlocking code and i mistakenly locked it and iphone was disabled..I jailbreak it and unlock it…Now,i upgraded my iphone 3G 3.0 with itunes 9 and now it says,activate with original sim without pin…Please,what do i do?tell me…

i am using a 1st gen unlocked/jailbroken iphone. i accidentally downloaded and installed the latest 3.1.2 software update and an error occured. arrrgh. stupid. now my phone doesn’t work. i am on recovery mode but can’t restore because it will automatically restore the phone using the latest software update which i believe i cannot do with my phone.

help. how do i restore the old software? thanks.

okay heres the problems.

i unlock the phone using this method, firmware 3.0
everything is fine but at the final moment, when i entered itunes, it says ”the simcard inserted in this iphones is not supported”.
what actually happened? do i need to downgrade it?

i mean, i’ve spent the last hour or so trying to find the required files to jailbreak iphone 2G.

“Once you have completes all download then …”, where are these file that I need to download? I know you’re smart but just doesn’t make sense to run your reader around.

Hi i have a question, can i Unlock my iphone 2g with 2.2.1. i am going to use QuickPwn 2.2.5 and it gives me the options for Install Cydia, Installer, Replace boot logos, and Unlock… i dont want Cydia and installer installed so can i just Check Unlock and nothing else? or does unlocking require Cydia installed as well? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting the instruction. However, I am still using ver. 1.1.1, do I need to upgrade the firmware to 2.0.1. before to the latest version, 3.0.1 ?

@govinda Redsn0w is the program you need to use. Only download from trusted sites, but it is a solid program. That’s why it’s standard.

@jdeej777 It doesn’t matter what was done to it previously. Just make sure you have the correct version of 3.0 (direct from Apple) and the bootloaders before you start. Start by updating it through iTunes to 3.0, which will lock your phone again. Then run Redsn0w, using your iTunes downloaded 3.0 firmware.

@iASK just upgrade to 3.0 using iTunes first, then follow the directions with Redsn0w.
