How to Enable Battery Percentage on iPhone 2G/3G OS 3.0

OS 3.0 and iPhone 3G S with a lots of new features released last week. One new feature introduced in OS 3.0 is Battery Percentage meter which shows the percentage of remaining battery backup. Unfortunately this feature is included for iPhone 3G S only. So what for existing iPhone 3G and 2G users, Apple gives us another reason to jailbreak the iPhone. If you are not new to jailbreaking then you must heard or used SBSettings or Summer board Settings one of the most downloaded application in Cydia.

For those who don’t know about SBSettings, SBSettings is a simple app and it doesn’t add an icon to the springboard. Do a single swipe to the status bar or your clock and the box appears you can toggle things like. You can also respring and power off.  SBSettings also shows information like your iPhone’s name, WiFi IP Address, Data IP Address and HDD Free space.

  • 3G (if you have and iPhone 3G)
  • Bluetooth
  • EDGE
  • Phone
  • SSH
  • Wi-Fi

In order to install SBSettings do a simple search in Cydia or Icy and hit the install button.

How to Enable Battery Percentage using SBSettings :

Step 1 : Swipe your finger over the clock or status bar where carrier information, battery information appears and you may found a similar screen given below.

Step Two : Now click on more button from third line and you’ll find another screen where you can tweak your SBSettings options. In this screen choose Extra & Options

IMG_0124Step Three : In the next screen you’ll find a lots of tweaks for your iPhone including (Numeric Battery)Battery Percentage meter.
