    this is a neat little preview – if we can figure a way to enable video…for real…..just saying.

    Remember that using this will break the camera function, You need to disable VideoToggle to have your camera working again.

    @aCtiSyS:

    Thanks for making the original plist file available; I didn’t make a backup, but only renamed the original on my iPhone. Dunno why, but after deleting the hack and renaming the original to its (um) original name, I was able to take pictures but they wouldn’t save. I resprang and then rebooted, but no go.

    BTW, the Rapidshare link’s dead; the megaupload one’s fine as of today:

    @Vinay:

    Very cool!!! Keep up the good work!

    The same thing happened with me. I have a jailbroken 2g with 3.0 OS. I deleted the new m68ap.plist and removed the .bak extension from the old one. Then i restarted my phone and camera is working again.
    Then i downloaded cycorder. Now i have photo and video on Iphone 2g

    It froze up on the boot screen with a apple logo with a spinning wheel I’m restoring it with itunes now I would just go into cydia and use cycorder.

  15. aCtiSyS October 4, 2009 Reply

    the link for the .MOV is not working fix it pls

  17. Mick September 25, 2009 Reply

    Is there anyway this could be linked to cycorder to make it more native to the existing photo camera? E.g. Use the controls that iSpazio have created and make it run cycorder? Or will they create their own native video recording app to use with the controls?

  18. iphonegeek September 25, 2009 Reply

    just jailbreak and use cycorder..its so much easier than going through all of these steps..and a bonus you can record video and still take pics with no problems

  19. raphas13 September 13, 2009 Reply

    look i loved the concept and i hope it goes on, ill only (re)make it when video and camera are avaliable to SHOT… :D

    for now, ill keep my photo camera… :DDD

    hope this works in the future for shooting photos,videos, uploading and sharing and trimming and all the stuff that 3G[s] does but, when this probably happens, ill alrealdy have the 3G[s] :DD

    good for me :D

    anyone, please email me the original version of the m68ap.plist file at

  25. radio August 4, 2009 Reply

    How about making it so you can you cy or video recorder. record the videos, and once they record it then you can use iphone’s 3.0 video functions to edit and transfer. Can the native application see the videos from cycorder or video recorder? their mechanisms for moving the files as well as editing is still cumbersome to say the least.

    With regards to the iphone 2G (which I still think is one of the best phones out there), I think Cycorder is enough for video recording.

    Ok for re-enable Still camera, Re-spring is not enough for me. I need to reboot my iPhone too. Now it works again thanks :)

  33. Tricks and tips June 25, 2009 Reply

    this procedure is limited only to activate the iphone video camera.i think more details are required to help new users.

    • Vinay June 25, 2009 Reply

      @ Warut @ Yuk At the moment this is experimental and iSpazio team is looking forward to enable recording tool read the last lines to enable your still camera again. As usual we’ll update you with each hack of iPhone so stick with us on Twitter or subscribe our free daily e-mail newsletter to update yourself regularly :)

      @ Tricks & Tips Yes this guide is to activate only not for recording. We clearly mentioned this in our post.

  34. Warut June 25, 2009 Reply

    I can enable the Video. However, my shutter is alway closed … How can I fix it? :P

  35. yuk June 25, 2009 Reply

    Followed the steps and my camera screen is stuck. It won’t open the shutter effect in the start. Just like the third image above. :/
