Activate MMS On iPhone 2G ( First Gen )
Many of us who are using iPhone 2G A.K.A. iPhone EDGE are missing one function after updating to OS 3.0, MMS is not supported in iPhone 2G. So if you are one of them then follow the simple steps given below and activate MMS functionality on your iPhone 2G. Thanx to iSpazio to make this hack in limelight. Geniusan has released a patch that allows you to send and receive MMS on iPhone EDGE.The hack of the MMS for the iPhone EDGE is available in Cydia via the iSpazio repository.
Pre-requisites :
- iPhone 2G OS 3.0 Jailbreaked with Cydia.
- Uninstall "asBattery" if you had installed previously.
Instructions to enable MMS on iPhone EDGE:
1st Step : into Cydia and download the package ActivateMMS2G "available in the repository of iSpazio.
2nd Step : Restart the iPhone.
3rd Step : Next go to Settings > Messages and make sure MMS Messaging is ON. If it’s not, restart your iPhone one more time.
4th Step (Updated): into Settings> General> Network> Cellular Data Network, and add the MMS info for your carrier. You can check out their website or just call them and ask them.
Note : Do not install the hack on Firmware 2.2.1 or view a black screen with the Apple logo and will have to restore. If you haven’t jailbreaked your iphone 2G with OS 3.0 yet then follow the easy steps Unlock/Jailbreak iPhone 2g OS 3.0 Using RedSn0w on Windows Mac

I have cydia on my phone and it says I have ispazio installed/downloaded but I can’t find “activatemms2g” anywhere. How do I get it??
hello,
I added the sinfuliphonerepo thing. found enable mms and it comes up saying NOTE: the requested modifications cannot be applied due to required depedencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed.
what do i do?
thanks in advance
hey when you guys did this and downloaded it and restarted it did u lose any of your contacts?? and also another question when i save a new number i think its saving it to my phone anyway to get it to save to my sim card??
Listen to Isaac (thanks btw Isaac!!!) add http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com to your cydia sources and search for enablemms2g then add it, enter your apn info or use dsocrayz’s swirly method from above and picture message away like magic.

please email me if you would like to help
yiton@btinternet.com
Hmm I have a problem with cydia… I can’t find activatemms2g in my cydia… I don’t know where to find it, I tried sections and messaging but there is no such a package there… Help please… Anyone?
Wuju! Bad ass thank you all for your help i finally got my MMS to work no thanks to t-mobile csr’s they tried but nope ya’ll deserve a pat on the back thanks!
Julia B — Check your sources for cydia google cydia sources and a large list should come up. search for a sinfuliphone.com one i dont recall exactly whats it’s called but its in those lines. go to manage and add. and you enter the web address there. cydia will download the info.. and then search for activatemms2g it’s there its how i got mine to work.
oh make sure you select the proper one depending on your software i believe there are two there one will say 3.1.0 and the other one 3.1.2
make sure you use the according one.
Good luck!
Someone help! When I try to search for the “ActivateMMS2G” app. in Cydia, it doesn’t appear!
I cant find the package either? Does anyone know if this has been re-named or removed?
Ok I want to buy The iPhone 3g o2 but does it only work in the uk ??? Also if it does can there be a iPhone that I can pay as you go or something because I’m trying real hard not to pay that 30-50$$$$ month subb.
If you have any info can u please help ???
activatemms not showing in ispazio is this happening to anyone else or anyone know how to fix it
I received a lot of complaints about vermms.vodafone.es here in my blog at http://www.zecce.com/vermms-vodafone-es-vodafone-spain//
By right, if you’re using Vodafone MMS, you can simply download and view the MMS pictures, sent by your friend.
Anybody encounter the same problem here?
I have everything set up, but when sending it loads about 90% of the message then fails, does anyone know how to fix this problem?
sooo…funny question…trying to get this working on my girlfriends iphone. She has NO DATA plan. It was a present from me to her, but she is ALWAYS on wifi (home, school, my place, etc) or with me and i have a 3G plan. Anyways, i could not get ispazio’s method to show the MMS option, even after restarting 9 times. I ended up installing Schmidty’s .ipcc and immediately got the MMS option, camera icon, and was able to edit the APN settings. The settings stayed in there everytime i modified them, and were never deleted like everyone has complained of.
Anyways, is there ANY way to make this work over a wifi data connection?? I thought that maybe it could send the info to the APN address over wifi, but maybe thats not how it works?? Hopefully someone can shed some light on if it is even possible?
Thanks again…and hopefully more people will try Schmidty’s method, as i know that with a data connection it will be VERY VERY easy to get mms working.
I can’t get it to work. I don’t even see the MMS in the message setting like it says in step 3 can. Can someone help me?
hi is there a way to activate mms on an iphone 2g on 3.1?
yea u gotta have data and mms apn same otherwide it wont stick
i have an iphone 2g firmware 3.0 carrier att 5.5 jailbroken
i installed activatemms
i can’t install apn editing because it gives me error messages during the install
i have the mms tab in settings: messages it is on
when i open the messages button i do have a camera icon
i take a picture then i get the option buttons to use or retake.. that’s where the problem is when i press either button nothing happens the only way i can get out of it is to press the home button
any ideas?
it doesn’t save the APN information if the MMS APN n cellular APn doesnt match when I hit the back arrow it will automatically erase the MMs APN!
MMSC and MMS-proxy is saved alright though…?!
Any suggestions?
As the previous commenter said, this app is NOT compatible with the 3.1 software on the 2G iPhone–only with 3.0 software. I temporarily bricked my phone and had to restore it. I’ll happily pay the $12 for SwirlyMMS before going near an iSpazio app again.
I had this working on my 2G iPhone with 3.0 but now the 3.1 seems to not be compatible with this fix. I get recurring reboots on the apple screen and had to restore the phone. Hopefully they come out with a new patch soon! I want my stock MMS!
WARNING:For those who wannah let their iphone 2G live a little bit longer.
Don’t activate MMS, i did but my iphone got very hot and the battery was drained in minutes, removing the ativateMMS (cydia) keped him cold again, maybe this is te reason Apple didn’t activate it for the 2G version….
Hi,
I’ve installed and rebooted and rebooted and kept rebooting, and i’m using the wap.voicestream.com for tmobile on both and all the other reccommendations, but like a few other people, it will only send about 90% and i didnt see any replies on how to fix that?
I’m using tmobile, thats unlocked/jailbroken with 3.0 and tmobile.
Thank you!
yahoo mess: amelia.olive
Thanks!
I have attempted to install this app twice now. I’m using a iphone 2g jailbreak 3.0 and this app has BRICKED MY PHONE BOTH TIMES INSTALLING IT!!! BEWARE THAT YOU MAY HAVE TO RESTORE YOUR IPHONE BY USING THIS APP. Plus all these people saying they cant get it to work, it sends dual messages, all these other problems, etc…. is it really worth the trouble? DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!
I have tried both settings and I cant neither one to work, I have AT&T.
Whats the deal?
easy way to do is down load the software from cidia then go download the swirly mms 2 not too but 2 its in blue then go to the app and then its going to say fetching the liscences cancel it tap next then hit the tools bottom left and hit run setting wizard click the first settings which auto fills reset the fone when u open messages the icon is there thank u as i bow
Omg I’m soo close, I put in the wap.voicestream.com 2x
one for each apn and also the settings for the proxy and mms,
now it sends but nobody gets it. I tried sending it to
myself and it went to my album ..x.
Please help !!!
i installed this program thru cydia and it rebooted, now my phone wont go pass the apple logo…how restore or have my phone functioning again its a iphone 2g
Okey, So I installed the activatemms2g patch via cydia and rebooted. the option for turning MMS on showed up under settings > messages. My APN and MMS APN were the same, I used internet2.voicestream.com and I was able to send and recieve MMS perfectly fine. Now, all of a sudden, the MMs option went away and I reinstalled, uninstalled and installed activatemms2g and rebooted about 20 times and I can’t get the setting to come back. I tried using the profile on help.benm.at but that didn’t help so I deleted it again and rebooted some more. What can I do?
i’ve got it working just fine, but i have a unique problem that will intrigue many of you.
i’ve found a data plan with t-mobile that is only $10. it’s also only 100MB of web for that price, but i never even really touch that much data with my work. so the plan works great for me on my iPhone 2g. thank you, Apple. thanks, T-Mobile. thanks, Dev Team.
problem: the APN that is required to use MMS (wap.voicestream.com) will not work for cellular data used for web and email on my current data plan. in other words, i’ve been using “internet2.voicestream.com” for web and email, but the APN’s have to match to use MMS… and the one that works for MMS (wap) won’t work for both MMS and web/email.
i’ve changed both APN’s in cellular data settings to “wap.voicestream.com” and had success with mms…
does this mean i’m going to have to change back and forth between APN’s manually if I want to send/receive MMS’s every once in a while?
cuz that would suck. any solutions you guys have come upon… or can hack out for me?
much love. -j
only for at&t ?
I have installed the activatemms2g, on my phone but i cannot see the enable mms option on under settings. I tried installing and re-installing and rebooting a couple of times but of no use. i have a iphone 2g, 3.0 os.. carrier vodafone india… PLZ help..
Everything is working, except visual voicemail. What do I do. I installed apn edit from Cydia. I don’t know what to do from here. I used win scp to, then I’m lost.
I had problem with installing ActivateMMS2G, and even having problem with NOT having the setting/general/network/cellular data network at all.
Here’s what worked for me:
If you can’t see the camera in message OR setting/message/MMS option, (and you’ve installed ActivateMMS2G) Keep RESTARTING. I have to restart like at lease 5 times. I even reinstall and installed ActivateMMS2G many many times.
For those who have CELLULAR DATA NETWORK not being save: on your iphone, click safari and go to “help.benm.at” and install mobileconfigs (it will add the cellular info for you). You may have to enter MMSC and MMS Proxy info.
here are my info for T-Mobile USA:
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
SOURCE: http://www.benm.at/2009/06/13/helpbenmat/
I hope this will help somebody.
yeah, I am in Shenzhen, China… got same problem as Radiodial. Any other workarounds because the data and MMS APN’s are different?!
If your on o2 UK make sure you havnt sent the text to 1010 otherwise it could be a pain, though i managed to solve it by getting o2 to turn off/on my mms at their end by calling with my sim in a sony phone, just make sure they dont send you the mms/gps settings for the phone otherwise you go back to square one.

Problems with the APN not saving??
Now you need to add MMS settings of your provider. If you don’t know these settings, the easiest way to find this information is via internet. The toughest part is to keep the APN provider settings. Mant reports on forums and blogs reporting thaht the APN setting are cleared, which results in preventing MMS messages to be sent. However, a site in New Zealand we reported earlier will help us to keep the APN settings to remembered in a few easy steps:
Start mobile Safari (should work as before)
Open http://www.unlockit.co.nz
Tap Continue
Tap Custom APN
Enter the APN
Enter Username
Enter Password
V3 Tethering + MMS => select Yes
Carrier select one
Tap Create profile
Tap Install to Install the APN Carrier Settings
Settings => General =>Network =>Cellular Data Network
In Cellular Data => MMS section add MMSC url
In Cellular Data => MMS section add MMS proxy
Tap home
OK here is the answer to the “I cannot Save the APN” problem… stolen shamefully off another board. Solved my problem completly.
For people who require different APNs for their mobile data and their MMS, there may be a fix for you. I am on a Polish network which requires different APNs and I am able to send MMS and browse the internet. This is what I did:
1. Install the Cydia package “ActivateMMS2G” and reboot
2. Go to help.BenM.at on your iPhone
3. Go to the second Mobileconfigs link, the one that allows you to create a custom Mobileconfig
4. Enter your MMS APN (i.e. mms.plusgsm.pl) for both of the APN fields (Mobile Internet and Visual Voicemail) and enable tether. My network requires no username or password, if yours does, you may need to enter those as well.
5. Press generate, install it, press OK, then reboot RIGHT AWAY. Do not check the settings!!!
6. Go to settings > General and scroll down to profile. If it says 2 (or more) profiles, delete/uninstall the one(s) that are not called “help.benm.at” (i.e. delete all but the one you just installed). If it only says help.benm.at, skip to step 8.
7. After deleting the other profiles, go back to help.BenM.at and repeat steps 3-5. The first time you try to install it, it may fail or hang while installing (it did for me anyway) if this happens, press the home button, reopen Safari, then try again, it should work.
8. Once your iPhone has rebooted, go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network. Your MMS APN should be present in every APN field.
9. Fill in your MMSC and MMS Proxy. Once again, my network has no username or password, so I am not sure if you should add this here or during step 4… Experiment!!
10. Reboot your iPhone.
11. Open Messages and try to send an MMS. If it fails, check your settings are correct.
12. If it is successful, go back to Cellular Data Network and change your Cellular Data APN to the one appropriate for your network.
13. Test your data connection.
14. Test your MMS.
This fixed it for me. It seems that the MMS APN can only be the APN included in the Mobileconfig, whereas the data APN can be anything….
I can get it working on AT&T everyone! just hit me up on yahoo IM @
gottagetthispaper@yahoo.com
AT&T US? Anyone? I actually BOUGHT Swirly, only to receive, in response to a call for help, an email that said “if you are using AT&T US, we probably can’t help you! (but thanks for the $12!). I don’t even need to SEND an MMS, I just want to be able to receive them from others so I don’t have to see that ridiculous “View this message at this super old website” text. Please.
Is there simply no relief in site for us?
Need ActivateMMS2G to work on jailbroken 2G in 3.0 on AT&T.
T-Mobile picture messaging settings
WAP GW IP Address:
216.155.165.050
APN Name:
wap.voicestream.com
Messaging Server:
http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
Data Mode:
Connection Oriented
tm21387
Worked Great!! Took a couple of reboots to get the MMS icons and the little “camera”. Note to T-Mobile USA Users, i found that if your cell data APN is “internet2.voicestream.com” which is said to be faster (not sure) then you have to switch it to “wap.voicestream.com” because the MMS APN is wap.voicestream.com and if the two are not the same, when you leave the settings window, the MMS APN goes blank.
Other wise everything works.
when i install it i go to messages i only get show preview and repeat alert thats all not option to select MMS last night i did but i had to restore my iphone today. and when i go into Settings> General> Network> Cellular Data Network all of its there help please!!! i restarted my iphone many of times its a 2G by the way
This is way too buggy. First time completely crashed my 2G phone. I had to do a restore.
Second time, it worked, but I cannot save the MMS APN. People say to be sure that the Data and MMS APNs are the same. BUT- that does not work for T-Mobile when you have to use two different APNs. I tried using the same APNs but nothing works.
The APN issue is not a problem with the MMS as included in the 3G software.
The APN issue has to be a problem with this MMS activate software. Developers…. what is the fix?
REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY INTERESTING – after installing activatemms2g…
So, In China, the the APN for the data and mms are respectfully cmnet and cmwap.
In would not save cmwap, every time. Mind you the MMS proxy and server info were saved.
I then changed the APN for data to cmwap – same as the MMS APN – and it then SAVED cmwap for MMS APN, I could leave and come back to the settings and now see cmwap.
I then successfully sent out mms. The problem was now my data link was killed, I cannot get on the net – cant bring up the weather app, etc.
So now I go back to the settings menu and the APN for MMS is GONE but can still send SMS. Now I go and change the data APN back to “cmnet” (still cannot see anything in MMS APN – now can send data again, trying MMS again (nothing is still in the MMS APN) and now the MMS FAILED!
So it seems that with the 2G there is something going on where you cannot save if they are not the same name (or so it would seem). There is a link above where someone highlighted that they needed the same name in the APN for data and MMS, but his data then worked. Going back to take another look to see if I can get this to work.
So in summary – ALL the parameters appear to work – but to save the APN for MMS you need to have the same APN name for data and MMS (at least for some systems/configurations)
Hi
I have installed the program no problem however I am on Orange (UK). I can not get the APN, User or Password to save. Any body have any ideas?
Ok everyone. Here it is. I had the same problem. I installed ActivateMMS2G, restarted and…nothing. No camera icon, no MMS options, nothing. After hours of searching I finally found the solution, and here it is. This worked for me so I hope it works for everyone else. I’ll give you direction assuming that you are using Windows.
1. Start/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs
2. Uninstall iTunes. You may need to delete the iTunes Library.itl file. Just do a search for it in Windows. (Get rid of it completely!! May even want to restart)
3. Download iTunes 8.2.0.10 from here(http://www.4shared.com/file/114978330/828bd873/iTunesSetupWindows.html)
4. Install iTunes. (DO NOT UPGRADE IF IT ASKS!!!)
5.Download modified carrier settings file from here(http://www.box.net/shared/qdbh0k8cjn)
6. Open iTunes, click on your iPhone in Devices. Hold Shift and hit restore. Select the option in the drop down box,[iPhone Carrier Configuration Files. ipcc]
7. Select the new .ipcc file, and hit open.
8. That’s it! It’s done! It’s a little more cumbersome then the cydia way, but I promise you it works.
9. On your iPhone, go into Settings/Messages and make sure MMS is turned on.
10. Then go to Settings/General/Network/Cellular Data Network and input your carriers APN settings under the MMS section. You can just google the APN setting for you carrier.
And that’s it. Hope it works for you.
I just wanted to Thank everyone for their posts….especially the T-Mobile posts!!… It worked for me, finally…. I thought I would have to use Swirly!…. And granted, I liked Swirly… but having this native MMS is much better… Although iRealSMS and SwirlyMMS gave you much better options as far as the program goes… But I’m still happy, wap.voicestream.com DOES work!!..
Thanks again,
JoMusic
@ tasnuva
You need to download apn editing from cydia
Go to settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network>and put in these
MMSC: mmsc.Cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32
This is what I did and after that I got that option to come up
A answer to some Q’s:
If you do not see the “MMS ON?OFF” button or the “Camera” Button in the Messages.app (sms/mms application) just restart your iphone 3 times…..YES 3 IS THE RIGHT AMOUNT!!!! if you turn your iphone on/off after that everything will be O.K…..The phone needs to be reset (on and off) 3 times after you install the patch…this is a one time thing!! every other time you turn it on/off you DO NOT need to do it 3 times…
If you have AT&T (yes you know who you are) you will not have MMS (even if you are on a non-iphone plan) until AT&T sets the MMS up. If you are not on AT&T and your network (T-Mobile USA, and the others) has MMS set up you r “Good 2 Go”.
T-Mo USA Settings – worked for me:
APN: wap.voicestream.com

MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy 216.155.165.50:8080

I did that and have installed everything correctly including the apn edit from iSpazio. I have the camera icon in the sms field and can attach and even attempt to send. It seems to be getting hung up at 90%. Anyone else have this problem? Please help! So close!
I have AT&T BUT….I am on their GoPhone Plan which is pre-paid….I have installed and restarted MANY times but i have no camera option in txt messaging app and no “MMS ON/OFF” option under settings-messages….. I NEED HELP??!!!! I will send a MMS to myself from another device and see if it works but in the meantime, does AT&T have a MMS Thing worked out and activated for the iphone yet??? If so/not plz tell me. TY
hi guys! this is for anyone having the problem with the apn disappearing….
you must have at least 2 apn’s match… you can leave your internet one the way it is. just change your visual voicemail to wap.voicestream.com then change your mms apn to wap.voicestream.com and voila!
ok so this is what i do.
I go on cydia, i download the patch, restart 3 times and nothing.
when i go to settings>general> that is where it ends. i dont have that apn setting option. any help here??
i have yahoo messenger: boznian4life01
and live messenger: mehinovic_dino92@live.com
please contact me and help me
i installed the patch ‘activatemms2g’, restarted iphone again and again but i dont seem to have the mms option anywhere in setting->messages
I have ATT.
Will this not work until they make there mms live?
I am not sure if I am doing this correctly. I have downloaded the program off of Cydia and restarted started the phone three times but I am not getting the phone icon when opening up the messaging program. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello all.
I am one of the misfortunate ones that are forced to use ATT.
Will this update work on the ATT network or will i need to wait until it goes live?
Thanks
Scott
I have the MMS camera icon in the messaging app and I can even attach pics to my message. But when I try to send the message as MMS, it tries to send for a while and then there is a red circle with an exclamation mark in it and it says ‘message sending failure’.
I am on Blyk operator in the UK. I have entered the MMS settings in the Cellular Data Network page (though the APN does not stay). My iPhone 2G 16 GB is obviously unlocked and jailbroken.
Please help if u know the solution.
Thanks loads.
i’m also having the problem where it doesn’t save the apn setting. No matter what i do when i go back to the mms settings the apn disappears.
What to do?
Hi,
I am finding that the MMS APN details don’t save – just the MMSC and Proxy information.
For Vodafone Ireland I am trying use, on a 2G iPhone unlocked/jailbroken with redsn0w.
APN: mms.vodafone.net
User: dublin
Password: dublin
MMSC: http://www.vodafone.ie\mms
Proxy: 10.24.59.200:80
For normal GPRS data I am using:
APN: isp.vodafone.ie
Username: vodafone
Password: dublin
With a 1GB/month data package for an additional €10 (excl. VAT) on our company Wireless Office International scheme.
Any advice or guidance – a MMS attempts to send, completes about 80% then waits and then fails. This behaviour is the same if you reset the Carrier settings and try to send, hence I believe the settings are not being saved.
SOLUTION!!! I found the solution to dropping the APN!
While searching the forums somebody said the APN for both the MMS and the Cellular Data settings must match!
For me, using T-Mobile in the USA, there are 3 APN settings that can be used for Cellular Data… 2 recommended “internet2.voicestream.com” & “epc.tmobile.com” and 1 they don’t recommend because it’s supposedly not an internet connection, but a link to their generic T-zones.
Once I made both APN settings “wap.voicestream.com” my picture messages started flowing no problems!
My concern was that i would have lost my internet because of the Cellular Data APN, but NO I was able to surf every website I tried.
so recap for what fixed my problems:
upgrade/jailbreak/unlock to OS 3.0
install the ActivateMMS2G app via Cydia
reboot until the icon appears (I literally rebooted about 8 times)
add the network settings that are appropriate for your carrier
for me they APN settings HAD to match or the iPhone would boot one and you couldn’t use it at all.
and when it doubt, there’s no-finer place to look than your peers and virtual-friends in the forums!!!!
T-Mo USA Settings – worked for me:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size:
MMS UA Prof URL:
I have things set up so now the option is in messaging, but I still can’t actually send – it shows an error.
I think part of my challenge is that I can’t match up the terms. I know the Gateway, Server & APN, but MMSC, MMSC Proxy & MMS UA Prof URL I don’t know exactly what they are looking for or which thing to put in which place.
I’m trying to set up with T-Mo USA if anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate it!
Installed on original 2G iPhone as stated in instructions and reboot hung on Apple logo (repeatedly rebooting) and had to restore.
iPhone was on 3.0 and jailbroken with redsn0w.
So … maybe use AptBackup before you try this!
I Installed ActiveMMS2G on my iPhone2G using OS 3.0 with T-Mobile (USA) and it wouldn’t even give me an icon to send MMS so this is what I ended up doing and now it works great:
1. Launch Cydia > Sections > Messaging
2. Install ActiveMMS2G and Reboot
3. Go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network
4. Use the details below
Cellular Data:
APN – wap.voicestream.com
Username -
Password -
MMS:
APN – wap.voicestream.com
Username -
Password -
MMSC – 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy – 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size -
MMS UA Prof URL -
5. Reboot
6. Go to Settings > General > Messages and make sure MMS Messaging is ON (if it’s not on, turn it on and then reboot again)
7. When sending text messages, you should now be able to see the camera icon to send MMS.
Hope this helps somebody. It helped me.
keep trying the apn until it saves..it should save by itself..im on tmobile and it works perfect
What about 3G owners? I’m not in the US and I have 3.0 but I don’t have MMS.
@Brian02
I dont have the Cellular Data Network and I did download APN editing in Cydia, still nothing is showing?????
Any ideas whats going wrong?
I have camera icon, MMS says sending and does send without any errors. NO ONE is receiving my pictures, not even me…
If you don’t avec the “Cellular Data Network” menu, download and install “APN editing” in Cydia.
Im having the same issue as carzzzer , just wont save setting . Previously have swirly mms, but have unistalled that . any ideas?
I have the same problem as Jazz..
I have updated the MMS settings and set my own number. Some forums say that you have to send an mms to yourself first for it to work. Tried that as well but it still doesnt work. There is a red icon next to the picture i tried to send and says message sending failure.
Please do help!!!
What does the step4 even mean?
@Jazz: I restarted the phone twice during the process, and second time it appeared.
My own problems seem to be because the Mobile user does not have write 755 (write) access to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/CommCenter. Will try to fix it via SSH later…
sorry guys, I got it working !!
In case others might need it here are the setting for meteor Ireland.

It doesn’t save the APN information when I hit the back arrow!

Any suggestions?

It works!!! Only 1 issue I had, when sending an MMS, it seems to send it twice? Anyone else experiencing this?
