Installed on a Dell Inspiron 1300 (B130) with a few probs.
Originally had 10.5.6 iPC PPF5 for the GMA915 card in it, that worked perfectly. I installed the update, got a blue screen on the boot. Had to start it on the OSx86 DVD to access the terminal and replace the kernel with Voodoo 9.5.0.
Everything is working on this lappy, thankfully. (Audio, Wifi, VGA, Sleep)

Thanks guys!

I installed the 10.5.7 combo upgrade, and it seemed to go off without a hitch. However, I can no longer scroll or drag windows without it messing up the window contents. If I drag, it appears that the window itself moves, but the contents do not move with it. If I scroll a window (Safari, for example), the contents don't scroll. If I resize or minimize/restore the window, the contents show correctly. However, those are the only two methods that I have found that fix the contents.

This happens with ALL windows - Finder file lists, websites in Safari, etc.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Ran this and am getting the infinite reboot. CRAP! I knew this would happen...

Dealing with iPC 10.5.6 using the Voodoo kernel. Tried everything possible. Can't boot using -x -s -v anything! Started up with the iPC disk and repaired permissions (again) but to no avail. Tried booting with kernel=Voodoo to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

My experience with following this guide...

Dell XPS 410
Chameleon 2.0 RC4
User experience: n00b

- Downloaded the first 2 kexts (with links)
- Installed those kexts using OSx86 Tools
- Restarted
- Backed up Extensions using OSx86 Tools
- Ran the Terminal commands
- Installed 10.5.7 Update (delta update, I believe)
- Once complete, CTRL+C on the "rm" command
- Looked in the ..../scripts/1 folder, no "Do Not Steal" entry
- Tried to run OSx86 Tools to repair before reboot, but it would not start
- Rebooted
- System rebooted itself in the middle of the reboot (it took little longer to boot)
- On the 2nd reboot the system came up ok (still took longer)

Now I'm going to repair stuff via OSx86, back up my Extensions again and reboot again to make sure everything works.

booted fine after update but my mouse is not working (ps2). may be something to do with osx86tools. (don't know whether keybord is working or not pressed every key in the keybord but no response)

WHen I get to this step:

do rm –rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext;done

It says file not found and keeps running it over and over. I checked for the file and I do see the file.

Thanks,
Josh

I have an amd64 sempron 2600 desktop and I tried every hacmac DVD's(iDeneb,Zephyroth's,IPC,Iatkos, etc.) to install on my system but everytime during installation process my mouse cursir is freezed, and I can't continue this way the installation since the disk utilities process. What can be the reason?Do I need to change my mouse?Does it matter if it is ps2 or usb?
