Download iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 5 Build 7A312G.

7 May 2009 by Vinay 14 Comments

Apple has released iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 5 to developers along with a new version of the SDK and iTunes 8.2 pre release 2.  The Beta 5 release is very surprising because apple seeded beta 5 just eight days after the release of the fourth beta when Apple had consistently been releasing beta versions to developers at two-week intervals. Now only 4 weeks remaining until the final release which will be available at WWDC’09 coming this June. Engadget confirms MMS "support" can no longer be turned on in Settings (in quotes because we could never get it working in previous betas anyhow), and we’re hearing that trickery that allowed tethering to be enabled with the previous iTunes 8.2 build has been patched.

@LiveOrDie: What network are you using you’re iPhone on?
I am a Apple Developr and there is no MMS option in Beta 5.
The option was available in Beta 1 through Beta 4.
I’m guessing you upgraded to Beta 4, not Beta 5.

Just wanted to say thanks for your great service in getting beta 5 installed. Also you were a real gentlemen in not charging any extra for unbricking my iPhone after I had made a mistake in the process. Some scum bag wanted extra money for some piece of software which is really not needed.

    Thanks again.

@ Zubair You can’t install OS 3.0 beta without a dev id thats why u need to buy a dev id from any registered dev. You can also google a way to by pass udid registration. I have never tested these by pass tricks but you can google them.
