bsnl_evdo BSNL introduced EVDO, the wireless broadband in INDIA. BSNL is the first to roll out EVDO Internet in India. The EVDO was launched unofficially back in September 2007 by BSNL and available in the selected cities only. Theoretically EVDO Offers 2.4 Mbps with Rev 0 and 3.1 Mbps on Rev A. But it varies on depending on few parameters. The BSNL EVDO modem is USB based, making it easy for Desktop computers as well as Laptops. If you are not aware about EVDO let me tell you that EVDO is a telecommunications standard for the wireless transmission of data through radiosignals, typically for broadband Internet access. It uses multiplexing techniques including Code division multiple access (CDMA) as well as Time division multiple access (TDMA) to maximize both individual user’s throughput and the overall system throughput. It is standardized by 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) as part of the CDMA2000 family of standards and has been adopted by many mobile phone service providers around the world – particularly those previously employing CDMA networks. It is also used on the Globalstarsatellite phone network.

Cost of Data Card :
The Data Card if purchase would cost you Rs.3500 one time charges and you wont need to make any monthly Rentals towards the dard card. If you are not looking for making any initial payments you can buy this data card on rental basis which would cost you Rs.200/month

Bsnl Evdo Data Card Tariff :
The Tariff of this service is around Rs.550/month for speeds upto 2.4Mbps in most cities in India. Though there are reports that the pricing differs based on cities and starts at Rs.400/month to Rs.550/month.

The download speed by EVDO card varies to your location…..If your location from where u are using EVDO Card is far from the BSNL Tower than the speed will be less……
