Latest build is available with KDE 4.2, Linux kernel 2.6.27, Amarok 2.0, mintInstall 5, mintUpload 2 with support for FTP transfers, mintUpdate 3 with support for history and roxies, mintNanny, parental control tool, mint4win, Linux Mint installer for Microsoft Windows users, based on Wubi.Linux mint is based on Debian GNU/Linux (Ubuntu). Linux Mint has its own repositories for Mint specific or Mint customized tools but also uses Ubuntu’s repositories for other software. Linux Mint has a stated focus on elegance, and it includes a number of applications that are not available in Ubuntu.
