I installed iPC 10.5.6 following the steps provided here and everything was almost perfect. The only problem was the Atheros L2 fast ethernet card. After a few hours of searching on the internet I found it here: http://code.google.com/p/iats/downloads/list

One week ago I updated to 10.5.8 using the software update function. After restart I had to install again the sound and network drivers but everything else works like a charm.

My specs:

Asus P5GC-MX/V6
Intel Dual Core E5200 2.5 GHz
4 GB (2x2) DDR2 333 MHz
nVidia GT 8500 GT PCIe 512 MB

I'm running iPC Osx86 10.5.6 and just recently successfully updated to 10.5.8 using Apple's software update. My system is:

Gigabyte GA-EG41M-US2H LGA775
4 Gig of A-Data DDR2 memory (PC6400)
MSI nVidia Geforce 9500GT 1Gig
LG SATA CD/DVD combo drive
WD 80 Gig 7200 ATA 100 drive
WD 160 Gig SATA drive

I was able to install the image with just choosing the sound .kext and ethernet adapter. For sound, I chose the Coxtenant HD audio driver, for ethernet Realtek R1000 (since my m/b has a R1110). Everything installed correctly, no problems at all, and running smooth. I am able to download directly from Apple and have been running 10.5.8 for one week without a hitch. Speed is great, stability is awesome. I don't play many games on Windows anymore so it's a MAC for me...next step to purchase a MAC-Mini.

I used the default options and for sound used a 15 dollar usb imike and used a belkin usb Wifi adapter. Everything works great, I don;t think the PCI bus is working (yet) because tried an M-audio Delta 44 but the system couldn't find it. The M-Audio Mobile PRe is a 100 dollar option that works to, just plug and play both that or the Imake and configure in sys prefs. Its awesome runs like sweet damn. Fadter than my mac mini with a 2.33 merom from a lenovo laptop and a seagate 7200 9runs a bir hot when video editing but I save those chores for my i7 Intel. Any luck anybody with the i7 on a DX 5850 mobo?. Anybody tried apple updates after the fact? I'm a little nervous that it may crash like TIger did. Tiger was working well until I tried to put the 10.4.11 update. THanks all you 5 eyes for your help.

I agree this is absolutely not a successful install because there is no driver for Atheros L2 fast ethernet card. So Mac OS X without Internet is just useless.
