Before going deep to business set your Motherboard Configuration as follow :

Before you boot up the PC, make sure you find the PS2_USBPWR jumper on the motherboard. It’s near the bottom, by the USB header pins and the SATA connectors; there’s only one jumper down there, but check your manual if you’re still not sure. You’ll want to move that PS2_USBPWR jumper from the default position of pins 1,2 over to pins 2,3. This enables your keyboard and mouse to wake your computer up from sleep. If you don’t set that jumper, sleep will not work properly.

1. Update Your BIOS to latest Revision. Now set your PS2_USBPWR jumper, boot up the PC and hit the Delete key to get into the BIOS. You’ll want to find and disable the MAXCPUID setting, set the Sleep mode to S3, and disable Legacy USB support.

2. If you want to reset your BIOS Settings to factory default, at which the settings are properly configured for iPC OSx86 Universal 10.5.6, enter Setup by pressing F2, then press Alt-F to reset, then Esc, and select “Save changes and reboot”. This will reset your clock as well, so don’t forget to set it back.

3. Put your DVD in rom and restart your computer with the DVD in Drive, now you should see Darwin load screen.

4.  As counting starts press F8 key and you will be able to have some more option’s.

5.  Now type -V and press enter now entered in VERBOSE mode here you are able to see any error if your screen freezes for more than 15 minutes than note last three lines and google them to find out a solution for your problem. If every thing goes fine after 15-30 minutes installation screen appear’s hold your breath we are not quit yet here.

6.  On the top a menu bar appears click Utilities >> Disk Utility.

7.  Here select the destination drive where u want to install Mac OSX.

8.  Now click on ERASE on right hand side and under the format option select
” MAC OSX Journaled Extended ” and click Erase. Now the disk will be erased and mounted once this done you are very near to near to your destination.

9.  Now close the disk utility and click on the partition which you created at previous Step.

10.  In Customize option select the following patches. If you don’t have an Intel Core based CPU, you need to choose the 9.5.0 voodoo kernel and the seatbelt kext (farther down) otherwise don’t check the kernels option. Select the Intel ICHx AHCI and AppleIntelPIIXATA kexts, AppleSMBIOSEFI.

11. Now your disk will be checked for consistency than installaion begins. It will take 30-45 minute’s as your hardware.

I installed iPC 10.5.6 following the steps provided here and everything was almost perfect. The only problem was the Atheros L2 fast ethernet card. After a few hours of searching on the internet I found it here: http://code.google.com/p/iats/downloads/list

One week ago I updated to 10.5.8 using the software update function. After restart I had to install again the sound and network drivers but everything else works like a charm.

    My specs:

    Asus P5GC-MX/V6
Intel Dual Core E5200 2.5 GHz
    4 GB (2×2) DDR2 333 MHz
nVidia GT 8500 GT PCIe 512 MB

I’m running iPC Osx86 10.5.6 and just recently successfully updated to 10.5.8 using Apple’s software update. My system is:

    Gigabyte GA-EG41M-US2H LGA775
    4 Gig of A-Data DDR2 memory (PC6400)
    MSI nVidia Geforce 9500GT 1Gig
    LG SATA CD/DVD combo drive
    WD 80 Gig 7200 ATA 100 drive
    WD 160 Gig SATA drive

I was able to install the image with just choosing the sound .kext and ethernet adapter. For sound, I chose the Coxtenant HD audio driver, for ethernet Realtek R1000 (since my m/b has a R1110). Everything installed correctly, no problems at all, and running smooth. I am able to download directly from Apple and have been running 10.5.8 for one week without a hitch. Speed is great, stability is awesome. I don’t play many games on Windows anymore so it’s a MAC for me…next step to purchase a MAC-Mini.

I used the default options and for sound used a 15 dollar usb imike and used a belkin usb Wifi adapter. Everything works great, I don;t think the PCI bus is working (yet) because tried an M-audio Delta 44 but the system couldn’t find it. The M-Audio Mobile PRe is a 100 dollar option that works to, just plug and play both that or the Imake and configure in sys prefs. Its awesome runs like sweet damn. Fadter than my mac mini with a 2.33 merom from a lenovo laptop and a seagate 7200 9runs a bir hot when video editing but I save those chores for my i7 Intel. Any luck anybody with the i7 on a DX 5850 mobo?. Anybody tried apple updates after the fact? I’m a little nervous that it may crash like TIger did. Tiger was working well until I tried to put the 10.4.11 update. THanks all you 5 eyes for your help.

I agree this is absolutely not a successful install because there is no driver for Atheros L2 fast ethernet card. So Mac OS X without Internet is just useless.

    Sad ..
these article does not tread inportant informations … If u want to install os x u can also use stock kernel if u have an Core2duo or core2quad …

the important things are missing what kind of drivers should i select ? u can use the gma950 driver for internal video … if you haf an pcie card use the driver for the card. ethernet does not run jet sudio works try the driver maybe audio in is not willing to run … select smbios by netkas …
    that’ it …
