Woot, Windows 7 build 7057 is leaked on bittorrent and Rapidshare. At the moment 32 bit version is available for download. latest leak is tagged with Windows 7 Build 7057 x32 | 7057.0.090305-2000_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GB1CULFRER_EN_DVD.iso. MD5 hash is 1D6FE0F1 47B28CCD 6B69622C 31E509CF 521EADED. The build string reads -7057.0.x86fre.winmain.090305-2000 which means that this was compiled on March 5.The ISO is sized at 2.51 GB and available on Mininova and Bay of Pirates. CD Keys from beta 7000 are reported to work with this leak. The most immediate change users would notice is the new welcome and shutdown screen.

Microsoft is certainly hard at work cooking the RC build, which is planned for general availability in April 2009. Still, despite the EULA mention of the RC, the actual Release Candidate development milestone could have a superseding build number. MyDigtallife says “ The latest leak may be the Release Candidate. The major clue that Windows 7 Build 7057 is possibly the release candidate (RC) for Windows 7, or at least one of the build made as RC. A EULA ID string in Microsoft Software License Terms which mentioned Win7_RC_1_Ult_NRL_en-US. In previous builds, the EULAID is Win7_B.1_PRO_NRL_en-US. And the license title says MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 OPERATING SYSTEM RELEASE CANDIDATE 1. ”

You have to delete the .html from the end so that files are in the form …EN_DVD.zip.001, …EN_DVD.zip.002 etc. Then just select all the files and extract with 7zip

In Mediacenter are no letter shown while fast forwarding album search. It will shown in 7048 but not in 7057.
And seriousliy, do you think MS would show a Peace-Dove on the start screen? And what’s about the desktop.ini bug? I don’t think they would it release with this silly bug. I may be wrong, but there are questions open…

Yep it’s very buggy and possible RC but it’s not fake. Verified by a large community, Setup is digitally signatured from Microsoft.

You can Fix Windows 7 Build 7057 Desktop.ini Startup Bug Yourself :

1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
2. Delete desktop.ini
3. Navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
4. Delete desktop.ini if present.
