Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is going to face off singers, actors and athletes in the popular TV Show “Dancing with the Stars.” Dancing with the Stars is the name of international television series based on the format of the British series Strictly Come Dancing, distributed by BBC Worldwide the commercial arm of the BBC. Presently distributed in 31 countries, Australia was the first country to adapt the BBC show, and versions have also been produced in the USA with Dancing with the Stars (U.S. TV series), Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark,Estonia, Finland, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa,Sweden, and Ukraine.

Steve Wozniak partnered with Karina Smirnoff, Karina is a world champion professional dancer from Kharkiv, Ukraine. She is a five-time U.S. National Champion also.She is “the first woman to ever make the British Professional Final with three different partners.” This is not the first time for Karina in Dancing with Stars she had participated from Season 4, 5, 6, 7 also.

ABC describes Steve Wozniak , “a Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for the past three decades, Steve Wozniak, a.k.a. ‘The Woz’, helped shape the computer industry with his design of Apple’s first line of products, the Apple I and II, and influenced the popular Macintosh. After leaving Apple Computer Inc. in 1985, Wozniak was involved in various business and philanthropic ventures, focusing primarily on computer capabilities in schools and stressing hands-on learning and encouraging creativity for students. In 2000, he was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame and was awarded the prestigious Heinz Award for Technology, The Economy and Employment. Wozniak is also a published author with the release of his New York Times Best Selling autobiography, iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon, in September 2006.”

The rest of Steve Wozniak’s competition includes Jewel (singer-songwriter), Belinda Carlisle (singer) and Chuck Wicks (Country singer), actors Denise Richards, David Alan Grier and Gilles Marini, Steve-O from “Jackass,” “Access Hollywood” co-anchor Nancy O’Dell, rodeo star Ty Murray, former NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor, and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.

Not only is Karina a beautiful person and a ballroom champion, she also has a double degree in economics and computer programming. Perhaps the Woz will understand her better than he would have understood others????
