Most Possible KDE4/4.3 Release Schedule.
KDE 4.3 RC1 will be released in June 2009 – one month ahead of KDE’s usual six-months release cycle.The most noticeable changes for users are the new icons, theme and sounds provided by the Oxygen Project.The new KDE promised to give you a full fledged Macintosh environment.KDE 4.3 also includes the desktop and panel user interface tool, called Plasma, which supports desktop widgets (called “Plasmoids”), replacing SuperKaramba and similar to Apple’s Dashboard widgets.Take a look at screenshot attached below I believe that the screenshot is self-explainable.
This mock up plus the Global-Menu, KDE is going to be great user experience.
